BUSH/CHENEY's immediate answer to the Attacks of 911 was to start bringing Freedom to the oppressed peoples & cultures of the world as America's own best self protection against future terrorist attacks here at home.
California State Assemblyman Van Tran is the 1st Vietnamese-American to take office as a State Legislator in United States History, being sworn in on December 6, 2004.
As a direct result of a Democrat-controlled U.S. Congress cutting off of funds for the then Free South Vietnamese to continue fighting for their own Freedom ...a 10 year old Cub Scout named Van Tran and his family had to quickly board an American C-130 Air Transport plane bound for Freedom abroad ...six days before the Fall of Saigon in April 1975. He spoke just 2 words of English at the time.

What irony -- Howard Dean meets a Vietnamese American who clobbers him with reality.

From his press release:
"Assemblyman Van Tran Assembly District 68 Proudly Serving: Costa Mesa, Garden Grove, Westminster, Fountain Valley, Anaheim, Stanton, Newport Beach. . . ."
I hope they're proud of Mr. Tran. I certainly am, and I don't even live in California.

Funny how actions have consequences, and thanks to the dems treachery in Vietnam, Tran is a true American patriot.
What other action was possible by Bush and Cheney after 9/11? Groveling to UN thuggery? Carpetbombing?

Every time Howard Dean opens his mouth he demonstrates that he is truly one of the most ignorant people who has ever lived. Let him keep talking.

I have been ashamed of what my country did to the Vietnamese people for 30 years. Had the spineless critters in congress not cut off funding millions of people in that part of the world would still be living. Jacka$$ idiots like Dean and Kerry should keep their mouths shut about things they know nothing about.

The MSM aggressively propagates the malicious falsehoods every radical Bush-hating entity promulgations.
In what can rightly be viewed as a form of "Information Warfare" these "Guardians of the peoples right to know"
are active participants in a coordinated assault on the presidency of George W. Bush.
As they willfully disseminate misinformation and disinformation, while knowingly
lie by omission in ignoring or discounting the voices of truly knowledgeable people
like Van Tran and Rep. Sam Johnson (R-Texas), the cRats and the MSM together are
engaging in direct attacks on this nation which far more insidious and far more dangerous to us
as a nation than are attacks of terrorists.

Van Tran is one of the fortunate Vietnamese who made it to freedom and he knows how disasterous the words of Dean and his ilk can be.
God Bless him, unlike Dean, he knows what an American patriot is made of and he lives it.

Thanks for letting me know about this young man. He may be someone that us RVN vets can get behind and help out. He is testimony that our cause was just. My son lives in Huntington Beach...I'll get his take on Mr. Tran. In looking at his bio he apparently was trained well...he worked for Bob Dornan..can't be bad with that sort of upbringing. Merry Christmas.

South Vietnam only fell after Congress lost the will to support our allies. Their terrible decision in 1975 has led to three decades of tyranny in that country, where freedom is persecuted and political choice doesnt exist. This is something we can not let happen in Iraq. To maintain security in the region and to continue an aggressive prosecution of the War on Terror, American must continue to support the new government in Iraq and help them establish stability there. I am particularly offended by Deans attempt to pull the Vietnamese people into his political strategy. Like the oppressed people from Cuba, the Vietnamese people have a strong love of freedom and democracy. Millions have died and more have been imprisoned trying to secure those freedoms.

Good for Congressman Tran.
The rats took away our victory in Nam and gave it to the communists.
The result of this treason was the death, torture and imprisonment of millions of S Vietnamese and others in neighboring countries.
The left has never been brought to an accounting and justice for those mass murders and other horrible events after we left Nam.
In fact our pullout in Nam remains one of the high points of the current rat party.

Hey no fair! Mascots of communists are not allowed to speak. The communist party speaks in their name, according to the script written by high priest playwrights, the annoited journalists. No representation, no voting allowed.

Once here, he busted his butt to learn English and work his way through college, and is an electrical engineer now. I know he would agree with Mr. Van.
