What irony -- Howard Dean meets a Vietnamese American who clobbers him with reality.

"South Vietnam only fell after Congress lost the will to support our allies. Their terrible decision in 1975 has led to three decades of tyranny in that country, where freedom is persecuted and political choice doesn't exist. This is something we can not let happen in Iraq.

even though he speaks first-hand about what happened in Nam and why we can't let it happen again, it's only a matter of time before he's attacked as being "out of the mainstream"..
I personally think they should leave Dean alone..he's the single greatest weapon the Reps have..

It went right over Dean's head.
He will just get uo, brush himself off, and continue on.

This is wonderful...Dean is obtuse beyond words.
I hope he stays at the DNC forever.

Thanks for the ping, Saveliberty. Truly, reality hitting Howard Dean between the eyes. If the Dems want to link Iraq to Viet Nam, then this is the perfect analogy. It is not quagmire vs. the most rapid conquest in modern times. It is whether the Dems will be allowed to sabotage this nascent victory the same way they sabotaged the impending victory earlier in Viet Nam.

Assemblyman VAN TRAN (R-Garden Grove), who just finished his first year in office, opened an exploratory committee on succeeding DUNN. TRAN's move prompted Garden Grove Councilwoman JANET NGUYEN to open a committee to explore whether she should try to take is place in Sacramento.
