Don't underestimate small wildlife. Squirrels here take swipes at our cat. The birds also take turns repeatedly dive-bombing the cat. We have a useless cat.
To: Red Badger
Never saw a squirrel attack anything, but I have witnessed two blue jays divebomb a squirrel. It was a perfect tagteam.

You don't have to believe me. Look it up. I didn't say that I didn't believe you. I said that the squirrels on our property eat acorns.
If your squirrels eat birds, that's okay too.
Sheesh!

but I have witnessed two blue jays divebomb a squirrel. Yup. Mockingbirds will do it too ... the real fun is when the Redwing Blackbirds start divebombing me.

I've ALWAYS believed in that adjective being used in conjunction with the smaller feline species.

"Furious Squirrels" would be an excellent name for a rock band.

I did research with squirrels for about a year...nasty, nasty critters. And when black squirrels move in, the grays and reds disappear within a few years' time.
