I'm posting this on my Sidekick II in a restaurant. Coolest toy I've had in a long time.
LOL. Nah its ok, but I was wondering.
We have been getting just a trace of snow all along, which means that the roads are rarely dry. There is hardly a ditch that hasn't been visited by a car or pickup. It's not deep, and not super-slick like it gets when it is 20, but it's always there and hides the lane markers. They'll walk the lane over until it gets off the pavement altogether. Not really a question of traction, but visibility.
Seattle, D.C., North Fla...just to name a few....
Wasn't that last over the air update great? It runs java now, that is way cool. What's your high score on the asteroid game? Mine's 111250. Doesn't do a whole lot for my family life, though, constantly sneaking a peak at FR :)
Gotta love it. Almost better than Grabowski.
Here in southern Indiana we had 30+ inches around Christmas time last year. 3 inches of snow ain't nothin.
The screens are probably made of the same stuff here but my 3 year old son is tazmanian. The salesman full on punched the floor model of the tv I bought. It was convincing to say the least.
I was stuck in that storm at Covington airport last year. On day two I tried to drive home and sat on the highway just inside of IN going nowhere for 8 hours. Ended up flying home late on Christmas eve. That storm was out of hand. The people were really nice, though. Perfect strangers helping push each otherls cars to get going and all.
Well, just push it back another 6 or 12 months so they can clear the streets and thaw the power lines!
I remember that winter and that blizzard. That's the winter that the Ohio River froze also.
Reminds me of the Montana weatherman who once said that "Helena got nine inches last night... of snow, that is."
Just the sheer number of responses Ive gotten to one mention of that blizzard tells me that it was an extaordinary weather event.
There's a photo on the wall of our post office that shows the postmaster standing in the road outside the post office. Behind him is a snowbank left by the plows passing on the road that is probably 20 feet high or more. Leaning against the snowbank is a ladder to get to the post office.
Since I was only about 13 at the time of that blizzard I suspect I may see one more like that in my lifetime.
I may see one more also but it's doubtful I will get pregnant during the next one.
Sorry to hear you were stuck in that storm. Very pleased to hear that people were helpful though. Found folks to be the same in Kentucky.
Why am I visualizing the last scene in Scarface?
