It is a lovely card. Thanks for posting it for all of us to see.

Holiday Season to a Christian means "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!". Holiday Season to the left means "What did you get me?" So... I guess that makes my kids leftist Christians? :-)

The artist on that card was my college art teacher.

Our card arrived as well. I was impressed with the Biblical passage...and could care less about the lack of the actual word "Christmas" and here is why. To many in this country, Christmas means "Santa Claus"...the Biblical passage makes it QUITE clear where President Bush's thinking is during this season

Received my card last Saturday. A beautiful card, love how they have their pets on the front of the card.
And love the beautiful message inside:
Psalms 28:7 (RSV)
The LORD is my strength and my shield;
in him my heart trusts;
so I am helped, and my heart exults,
and with my song I give thanks to him.
Thank You, President Bush and Laura :-)

I have no problem with my card. I think some people are so caught up in the word christmas they can't see past that.
Tell that to the people wanting to boycott this or that store because this or that store's employees aren't greeting them with a "Merry Christmas", or they aren't playing traditional Christmas songs (Christmas as in religious), but rather "holiday songs".
To: af_vet_rr
They want religious songs played at Kmart?

Is that Jamie Wyeth who did the art? It's beautiful.

White House Christmas Card QuestionedCop #1: Okay, Christmas Card, where were you on the night of July the 12th?
Cop #2: We know you were in the Volvo, Christmas Card. We've got your prints. WHERE'D YOU HIDE THE GUN?
Cop #1: Why'd you kill her, Christmas Card? Jealousy? Come on, confess it. We've got you dead to rights.

Schnauzer's are not dogs.
They are grumpy old men in matted gray suits who think they own the joint.

George H. W. Bush, #41, was the last President to use the words, "Merry Christmas" on the White House Christmas card.
B.J. Clinton was the first President not to use the words, "Merry Christmas" on the White House Christmas card.
Looks like GWB forgot "Father Knows Best."

When those stores start quoting the 28th Psalm, then I'll make it an issue.
Read it.
It's fascinating.
