AN OPEN LETTER TO TIM ROBBINS, DAVID GEFFEN, CHRIS MATTHEWS, MAUREEN DOWD + JEANINE PIRRO

RE: a not-so-modest proposal concerning hillary clinton

December 7, 2005

Dear Concerned Americans,

Hillary Clinton's revisionist tome notwithstanding, 'living history' begets a certain symmetry. It is in that light that I make this not-so-modest proposal on this day, exactly 64 years after the attack on Pearl Harbor.

The context of our concern today--regardless of political affiliation--is Iraq and The War on Terror, but the larger fear is that our democracy may not survive. We have the requisite machines, power and know-how to defeat the enemy in Iraq and elsewhere, but do we have the will?

In particular, do we have the will to identify and defeat the enemy in our midst?

Answerable to no one, heir apparent in her own mind, self-serving in the extreme, Hillary Clinton incarnates this insidious new threat to our survival.

What we decide to do about Missus Clinton will tell us much about what awaits us in these perilous new times.

Each of you, (for different reasons, surely), has expressed concern about Missus Clinton's putative candidacy in 2008, and, by doing so, has expressed concern inferentially about Clinton-machine control of the nominating process.

My proposal: Stop Missus Clinton in '06. Stop her in '06 and you will have stopped her in '08. A Senate en passant capture is THE MOVE....

To David Geffen and Tim Robbins: Why not field a challenger to Hillary Clinton in '06, someone who does possess the necessary positions, ethics and electability? And why not in the general election? A Perot plurality ploy would be poetic justice, if nothing else... and if carefully selected, that candidate wouldn't merely unseat Missus Clinton but could actually win.

To Jeanine Pirro: If, as Chris Matthews so trenchantly put it, "Pee Wee Herman would give her a race," why aren't you... a bright, talented, articulate, accomplished, charismatic, media-savvy independent woman who spent her 30-year career championing exactly the women Missus Clinton abused for 30 years... why aren't you in fact creaming Missus Clinton?

Stop running YOUR NEXT RACE, stop worrying about being slimed by the Clinton machine. Stop pulling your punches and start going after this corrupt, compromised, dangerous creature for real.



Just as it was exactly 64 years ago today, this is a watershed moment for America. It is my hope that all concerned Americans will do what they can to defeat the enemy.

What we decide to do about Missus Clinton will tell us much about what awaits us in these perilous new times.

Katherine Prudhomme does an excellent job in keeping Gore focused on the issue at hand. Gore is careful not to attack her overtly (as is their ways) but he often approaches the demarcation line, coming periously close to crossing it. Parse, parse, parse. I can't quite make out what she is asking Gore, in her last question to him. An excellent indictment of Gore (part and parcel to the Clinton syndicate) by his own mouth just the same. A good find!

If Gore had any class whatsoever, he would have given Bill Clinton an ultimatum, either Clinton resign, or he (Gore) would. Thankfully, he doesn't have that kind of class, and thankfully, he didn't resign, or otherwise Gore would have likely won in 1999, all the while being hailed as one righteous dude.

It isn't that our memories are fuzzy regarding the high crimes and midemeanors, owing to one, WJ Clinton, it's the overload by sheer volume of transgressions, attributable to one man (crime family). THAT is why your special skills on display at FR, and other places I hope, are sorely needed to remind us of the litany of transgressions that have been committed by this cabal, against our country.

I was a juror in a rape trial. The assailant had been incarcerated for 10 months. The defense attorney had prepared his client well, as did 10 months of thinking up answers to the pending questioning by the prosecution. There was always an answer for every question asked of him.

The prosecution's witnesses often told similar stories but never matching 100%. Usually, an answer would be said many ways and mean the same thing. One could see a common thread... no coaching. The defense attempted to exploit the slight discrepancies in their answers.

I see similarities to the witnesses statements from the rape trial I served on as a juror, and in both Juanita, and her friends statements, who corroborated her story. Dateline NBC is right to question the variances or missing pieces to the puzzle, but in totality, the statements speak to the truth. When an answer is unknown or a fuzzy recollection is offered as testimony, and it's received unvarnished from the author's mouth, intuitive reasoning by the viewer will determine if the statement(s) ring true or not. I believe Juanita.

It has been reported (source unknown) that as many as 75% of rapes go unreported. Of course they must be reported at some point to someone, for the statistics to be known.

Pirro will have to work 18 hours a day, 7 days a week, until election eve to win. In other words... she has to WANT IT BAD! Does she have the heart and stomach for it ? The opponent isn't necessarily the hurdle, but the machinations of the opponent is. Pirro has to be like the waves of an ocean constantly shaping a beach. Day and night and night and day... slap, slap, slap, slap... I'd pack some heat and get a remote start for my car too!

Early in January, 2000, I attended the taking of oath by freshman Senator Peter Fitzgerald, in DC, and attended several sessions of the Senate. One of the first votes taken in the Senate, was a pledge by each Senator to be an impartial juror in the impeachment process.

On Friday, of that particular week, members of the Senate audience were treated to high drama. The Sargent at Arms announced the entrance of the Trial Managers (the dirty dozen) and (memory escapes me) someone presented the two articles of impeachment to the Chief Justice William Rehnquist. The Chief Justice was sporting a self designed robe befitting the occasion, adorned with 5 gold stripes on each upper-arm area of said robe. Quite the spectacle...

I recall the statistic... that, not a single Senator dared venture into the Ford bldg. to inspect what Ken Starr and his prosecutorial team had amassed on Clinton. Those squeamish jurors had an obligation to their constituents to examine in good faith, the evidence available, BEFORE reaching a conclusion. Shame on all of them. It became public knowledge (how and by whom I'm not sure), that far more tawdry and salacious material awaited their inspection.

I recall sitting in my vehicle, listening live to the roll call vote on the two articles of impeachment by those same Senators. At the time, Illinois was represented by Durbin and Fitzgerald. As was often the case, the Senators canceled out each other's votes.
