Should the U.S. Leave Iraq?
Free Muslims Coalition ^ | December 06, 2005 | Kamal Nawash

When Rep. John Murtha said that the United States must leave Iraq immediately he ignited a national debate on whether the U.S. should leave Iraq. Normally, such a statement would not have been noticed, but because Congressman Murtha is a retired Marine colonel who earned a Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts for his service in Vietnam Washington listened. In response to Congressman Murtha, the White House stated: "The eve of an historic democratic election in Iraq is not the time to surrender to the terrorists."

Geeeeez - there out in full force. I just read an article from al-Jazeera...thought it was Scrappleface at first.

Well thank God Mutha is not President, 62+ million people did not vote for him and he really is quite irrelevant. I never heard of him until 2 weeks ago.

Yep. We need to pull out of Iraq but not until the job is finished.

The U.S. will leave Iraq. This isn't really all that difficult - our objectives there were to remove Saddam from office (check!), to ensure that his known weapons of mass destruction did not reach the hands of the terrorist organizations that he very definitely was dealing with (check!), to remove the Ba'athists from government (check!), to establish a new government made up of the disparate elements of Iraq (check in about a week) and to withdraw.

All the rest is crap. All of the accusations of ulterior motives, all of the misrepresentations, the cheap shots, the carefully crafted lies, the smears, the open rooting for an enemy unthinkably vicious by any civilized standards including those of the ones who were rooting for them, all of that is crap. Mission FReepin' Accomplished. Choke on it.

The Dems have two positions: Bug out now, and bug out a little later.

But a bug out is still a bug out.

I think you've hit the head of the Democrat nail. I've been wondering what is making them so boldly traitorous recently. It's because they see that much of the mission is accomplished and they are trying to get ahead of the troop pullout. They can then spin it as a victory for them in inciting the troop reductions over the war-mongering policies of the president.

Just my two cents.

WWII ended in 1945. American forces are still in Germany and Japan. Don't expect U.S. special forces to leave Kurdistan anytime soon.
