But with the Republican Party's hold on the Senate looking tenuous, the party of Wall Street and the religious right is suddenly chummy with its most prominent environmentalist. With a tough race looming, and a solid conservative challenging Chafee in the primary, Republican elites are sending checks to Rhode Island -- to help Chafee.

With a tough race looming, and a solid conservative challenging Chafee in the primary, Republican elites are sending checks to Rhode Island -- to help Chafee. This is to be expected. Now if he were a conservative like Pat Toomey they would tell him to get lost...

"Can someone tell me how Santorum can be considered pro life when he helps elect pro abortion senators whose votes negate his own?"
Politics makes strange bedfellows.
*Hangs head*
Sorry to use such a tired, worn phrase.

The NRSC should not waste one dime on that piece of... work.
But they will waste plenty because that is all the groups who raise $ to elect Republicans do with their money. (And I do hope it's wasted and a Democrat gets his seat.) A conservative never needs their money because they are able to raise it on their own from other conservatives. RINOs like this puke get every dime conservatives donate to these organizations that raise $ and dole it out to individuals. NEVER EVER GIVE THEM ANYTHING!

Same old song and dance.
They did the same thing with RINO Arlen Sphincter against a REAL Republican, Pat Toomey. Bush and Santorum gave the victory to Sphincter by supporting him.
Screw 'em.
Screw 'em all.

What else would you expect???
The GOP Establishment is nothing but a bunch of internationalist/pro-illegal/anti-sovereignty RINOs. It's impossible to be welcomed into the Establishment Club if you're not one.

Great idea, but methinks it's impossible to do that--you'll have to make a complete changing of the guard in the GOP Establishment, as well as replace 90% of the members of Congress in the GOP primaries.
If only it could happen though.....

Laffey is worse than Chafee.
At least Chafee never writes any bills and mostly shuts up and stays in Virginia, where we don't have to look at the puke.
Laffey is a creep who's incompetence is the only thing that keeps him from being a nazi.
I'd rather have Patches the Dunce Kennedy. He's so stupid he's harmless and funny.

Well, I remember when the conservatives had no voice in the media (back then, the networks were the only voice for national dialog). Today, alternative media is everywhere - and we have Rush. (Did everyone stand up?)
Add the pubbie revolution of '94, and things have gotten better...working on it.

It's frustrating to see progress but know that much remains to be done. But, I'm weary of the struggle.

What pisses me off most is that the NRSC is spending money there they could be spending defeating Stabenow.

IMO, the '94 revolution has completely fizzled out. The only way one can honestly call the GOP a party who believes in smaller government is when you compare it to the Dims. I know that the War on Terror & Homeland Security are their favorite excuses for expanding government, but the size of the federal government has drastically increased since the Republicans won back control of Congress 11 years ago.
When President Clinton told Congress "the era of big government is over", everyone in the GOP side of the aisle stood up & applauded--yet they did little to actually turn that goal into a reality: have any federal departments been eliminated since they took over? Of course not--they have actually INCREASED the # of federal departments & agencies, our national debt is well over $8 TRILLION now, we are now the world's global cop by default (I remember back in the '70s & '80s that this is one thing the GOP was strongly opposed to being), & on & on....
The current GOP no longer deserves the support of those who revere our Constitution.

TransNational Socialist.

All RINOness does is - stupidly and falsely - lend credibility to the Democrat positions they adopt. Wrong, my friend. The reason the Republican Party backs rinos and people like Specter is because they are numbers in the Republican column regardless if the vote like Democrats. That affects the majority/minority status which determines who makes the rules and heads the committees. That is more important than you may think.

No matter what way you look at it a RINO is always disgusting.
What a shame but they'll do what they have to do.
