But with the Republican Party's hold on the Senate looking tenuous, the party of Wall Street and the religious right is suddenly chummy with its most prominent environmentalist. With a tough race looming, and a solid conservative challenging Chafee in the primary, Republican elites are sending checks to Rhode Island -- to help Chafee.

Partly because they think that Stephen Laffey can't win a statewide election. But I think they're mistaken in this case.

RINO's are far more tolerable when they're from Liberal states.
RINO's from Conservative states are not acceptable.

If Reagan could win California, anything's possible. All RINOness does is - stupidly and falsely - lend credibility to the Democrat positions they adopt.

RINO's are far more tolerable when they're from Liberal states. Not this one. The NRSC should not waste one dime on that piece of... work.

This is a state that voted 60% for Kerry.
Take these blue state Republicans as a blessing, they won't be around in 10-20 years.

I'm sick of Chaffee's crap, and I'm pissed off at the NRSC for helping that RINO. I'm going to donate some $ to Laffey right now at
his website!

Odds are that amongst the team that goes to bail out Chaffee will be Ricky Santorum.
By helping to reelect Chaffee, Santorum negates his 'conservative' vote. Again. When he supported Arlen Specter, he already canceled out his vote.
Because of his efforts to elect any Republican regardless of principle, Ricky's voting record doesn't mean a thing.
Can someone tell me how Santorum can be considered pro life when he helps elect pro abortion senators whose votes negate his own? Anyone? Bueller?

Exactly. Toomey could've taken Hoeffel, but the NRSC, RINOs, and misguided conservatives (e.g. Santorum) kept saying that he couldn't win statewide.

And here is their leader...
Now what will these greedy herds do when the Conservatives bail on the "Big Tent/Big Gulp"-ers, and the trough dries up?

Considering Kerry won PA by 145,000 votes it would have been very hard for Toomey to have won. Toomey and Bush would have gotten the same voters.

I hope we can make the Rino an endangered species.
