Men Warm Globe, Women Feel the Heat, Group Claims

Considering that I'm always turning the thermostat down and my wife is turning it up, methinks women of the world would welcome this...

The spokesman for a feminist-based environmental group accused men of being the biggest contributors to human-caused "global warming" and lamented that women are bearing the brunt of the negative climate consequences created by men.

These women felt it necessary to actually have a conference over the common source of flatulence?

"...The spokesman for a feminist-based environmental group accused men of being the biggest contributors to human-caused "global warming" and lamented that women are bearing the brunt of the negative climate consequences created by men..."

So true. We emit methane gases (at a much higher, more volatile and noxious rate) and they must sit in the same room with us chavuinist pigs.

I feel sufficiently chastened.

I guess women contribute differently because of their inability to grasp mathematics as well as men. . .

Anyone reckon that some women will be really torqued in spite of the fact that these "feminists" wish to be equal to, or greater than, men except for the bad stuff?

"Aliens Cause Global Warming"

A lecture by Michael Crichton
California Institute of Technology
Pasadena, CA
January 17, 2003

My topic today sounds humorous but unfortunately I am serious. I am going to argue that extraterrestrials lie behind global warming. Or to speak more precisely, I will argue that a belief in extraterrestrials has paved the way, in a progression of steps, to a belief in global warming. Charting this progression of belief will be my task today.

Let me say at once that I have no desire to discourage anyone from believing in either extraterrestrials or global warming. That would be quite impossible to do. Rather, I want to discuss the history of several widely-publicized beliefs and to point to what I consider an emerging crisis in the whole enterprise of science-namely the increasingly uneasy relationship between hard science and public policy.

Wow, you mean that the world's problems are all caused by white, American, middle-class, conservative, Christian men? That's quite a new and unique accusation! ...or not.

I guess the proverbial "Women and children hit hardest" now applies to global warming too.

Reminds me of one of my favorite jokes:

God appears to a NY Times reporter, and tells him that the world will end the next day."Can I have an exclusive on this story,O Lord?" asks the reporter.

"No",God replies,"I'm giving it to you,the Wall Street Journal,USA Today and the Boston Globe" Next day,the headlines read:

NY Times........."World To End Today,Story On Page A-19"

WSJ................."World To End Today,Markets To Close Early"

USA Today......"We're History"

Boston Globe..."World To End Today,Women And Minorities Hit Hardest"

So, women and children most adversely affected...again.

How nice to know the UN is working on such vital questions: Men make the world hot and that bothers women.

What gets studied next, the speed of check-out cashiers at Safeway?

Rohr, who is demanding "climate gender justice," left no doubt as to which gender she believes was the chief culprit in emitting greenhouse gasses.

Women are frequently marginalized in a variety of ways...

And you're not exactly helping their cause, madam.

Reports like these are priceless. Everytime the lunatic left opens its mouth, it stumbles even farther into irrelevance and absurdity.

How anyone can take groups like this seriously is beyond my comprehension.
