"I'm sure you posted this as a parody of a student essay on WW2, but it's much too close to what a real student essay would be like to be altogether humorous."

Nah. I just took pity on the kid and wrote her tern paper for her. I imagine she's copied and pasted it already, and will turn it in tomorrow. I hope she doesn't change the tittle, though. I think it's a nice tittle. Not a big, impressive tittle, but a nice tittle.

That is just too funny! I don't think I have ever read such a concise and accurate account of WWII! You ROCK!

It's a good, firm tittle. Very direct, and to the point. A pointed tittle, in fact.

Actually, you're right. Even worse, all the spelling, grammar, and punctuation is correct. Her teacher will know at once that she didn't write it.

In grad school (English/Lit), I tutored a lot of undergrads for their comp classes, so I know what you're saying. I saw much worse than my little essay. What a challenge it was to get 19-year-old engineering students to write coherently! With some, I succeeded. With others...well...

"...but i still have a paper to write..."

Then you better stop surfing and start writing. No one here is going to help someone too lazy or too stupid to at least try. If you ran a google search, you had a LOT of material to work with. I suspect you want someone to help you filter things or that you just enjoy taunting the people on this forum.

Either way, you're Sh!t out of luck and your paper still isn't started.

Cheers,
Lloyd

After a quick perusal of your previous posts, I would say that your first task for this paper will be to locate the shift key on your keyboard.

See message #213. I wrote her paper for her already. She can just copy it and paste it into her word processor. I guarantee at least a C.

Now this man is not German but he is parked next to a sign which has authentic German words.

The man on the motorcycle named his motorcycle "The Great Escape" because he loved riding it so much. He was married to a woman who made him mow the lawn, take out the trash and brush his teeth. He did not like being around her very much so he bought the motorcycle to get away from her.

That's also how he became a top secret undercover operative. His mission was to ride his motorcycle throughout Germany and sound alerts if he saw anything suspicious. He saw a lot of suspicious things and then he would yell "one if by air, two if by sea."

Unfortunately no one really knew what he meant and basically ignored him. We won the war anyway.

Mr. PhD - do you know the date of the first Japanese attack on an American ship in World War II?

Mr. Par 35, do you recognize sarcasm/satire when you see it?

You must keep in mind how this ridiculous thread began. Then, step by step, advance from there.

Ethnocentric bigot, eh?

Well, when the kinfolk weren't borrowing them. It was rough being rich and the envy of the whole town.

Sometimes not. I've found a sarcasm tag to be helpful on more than one occasion.

"Ethnocentric bigot"

I was rather proud of that turn of phrase. Makes me sound almost like a progressive intellectual.

And now you've gone and spoiled my fun. I was about ready to start with the Panay, and follow up with the Ruben James.

Well, I'm sure if you explain to the returns counter, they'll give you a partial credit on that expensive set of words you used...
