Yes, indeed- John Kerry thinks it's 1972 all over again. Yesterday, on "Face the Nation" John Kerry once again slams American troops- Check it out-
"And there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the-of-the historical customs, religious customs."
Here is the transcript for "Face the Nation"-

He's not just telling this to America, he's repeating these lies to the whole world. Freakin' traitor is fanning the fire against us. I'm a relatively small lady, but for five minutes with this fool....

It's good to know that Kerry, despite all his obfuscation, has now been proved to not have changed one whit from his vile anti-Americanism of 1973.
He's still a limousine radical, and he always will be.

These Leftists don't mind violating the religious traditions of Christians. Only Muzzie traditions are Sacred to them.

From page 3-4 of the
CBS transcript, emphasis mine (h/t:CQ reader Dave Z):
SCHIEFFER: All right. Let me shift to another point of view, and it comes from another Democrat, Senator Joe Lieberman of Connecticut. He takes a very different view. He says basically we should stay the course because, he says, real progress is being made. He said this is a war between 27 million Iraqis who want freedom and 10,000 terrorists. He says we're in a watershed transformation. What about that? Sen. KERRY: Let me--I--first of all, there is so much more that unites Democrats than divides us. And Democrats have much more in common with each other than they do with George Bush's policy right now. Now Joe Lieberman, I believe, also voted for the resolution which said the president needs to make more clear what he's doing and set out benchmarks, and that the policy hasn't been working. We all believe him when you say, `Stay the course.' That's the president's policy, which hasn't been changing, which is a policy of failure. I don't agree with that. But I think what we need to do is recognize what we all agree on, which is you've got to begin to set benchmarks for accomplishment. You've got to begin to transfer authority to the Iraqis. And there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the--of--the historical customs, religious customs. Whether you like it or not...
SCHIEFFER: Yeah.
Sen. KERRY: ...Iraqis should be doing that. And after all of these two and a half years, with all of the talk of 210,000 people trained, there just is no excuse for not transferring more of that authority.

Truth be told, this won't hurt him one bit with his core. Let's face it, his being a "war hero" was never anything more than eyewash for the moderates to begin with.
His draw for the left has always been simply his supposed ability to condemn our military with "moral authority" (and yes, it pains me to even include that phrase in a sentence about Kerry).
To: KCRW
It's like Kerry has a template and can't deviate from it.
Just like Vietnam, OUR soldiers are the problem.
And just like Vietnam, we CAN'T win the war.
This guy is one of the biggest fakes I've ever seen.

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear. - Marcus Tullius Cicero

bu bu, he's strong on defense. Why he reported for duty at the dem convention. how can it be that he loathes the military?

From Kerry's "The New Soldier":
Al Hubbard Sgt., 22 Troop Carrier Squadron Aug. 65-June 66
Emotions: Walking down the flight line at Saigon past stacks of aluminum cases containing American bodies and past stacks of aluminum luggage containing American currency. Seeing the tight, sad face of an Airman loading the bodies aboard a dirty Air Force Transport and the wide smiling face of a stewardess greeting the passengers aboard a clean Pan American Clipper Jet. Hearing a Vietnamese beg you to leave his country and an American colonel tells you to bomb his country. Hearing a Vietnamese invite you to live in his home, after the war and an American explain why you cant live in his block, after the war. Flying over barren, brown, safe American held terrain and over lush, green unsafe enemy terrain. Feeling happy to be leaving a country in which you do not belong and sad to be returning to a country in which you are not allowed to belong. Sacrificing a portion of your consciousness so you wont have to deal with being there and building mental blocks so you wont have to deal with having been there.
- Al Hubbard, proven fraud who never set foot in Viet Nam. The only Vietnamese he ever met was when he was collaborating with the North Vietnamese in Paris on the American Communist Party's nickel.
John Kerry's explanation: "He (Hubbard) simply exaggarated his particular position.
But nobody knew it at the time.
And those things happen."

I just posted this to another thread, it bears repeating:
It undermines the troop's morale. My son is a soldier. He will die someday and it will be a tragedy to me regardless of the way he dies whether it be in a car accident, sickness or old age. Should he give his life for our country it will be no more a tragedy.
In the words of Patrick Henry, "The battle, sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave.... If we were base enough to desire it, it is now too late to retire from the contest. There is no retreat but in submission and slavery! Our chains are forged!"
Down with those in our own country that plot our failure. I hate them with a hate beyond rage because they threaten the very success of our nation. We need to determine who our enemy is, and fight them with a vengence.

What makes this statement even more laughable... if you read the whole sentence, without Schieffer's interruption and without Kerry's stammering:
And there is no reason that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids, children and women, breaking religious customs. Whether you like it or not Iraqis should be doing that.
