I think the military is the wrong background to prepare for extended DUmpster diving ... line work in a sewage treatment plant would seem more appropriate.

I never go to DU either. I have followed a few links which took me there over the last few years, but it is always a waste of time for me.
I'll let others keep an eye on that wasteland for me.
