PHOENIX, Dec. 3 -- Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean offered a preview of the 2006 elections here Saturday with a blistering critique of President Bush's policies on Iraq and immigration and the Republicans' ethics scandals. But he warned Democrats they cannot expect to win next year without offering an agenda of their own.
Speaking at the fall meeting of the Democratic National Committee, Dean pledged that Democrats would offer tax policies aimed at middle-class voters, a plan to provide health insurance to all Americans, immigration proposals that offer a path to legalization for illegal immigrants, and defense policies that would protect the nation and expose the "hollow promises" of the Bush administration.
Dean warmly praised Rep. John P. Murtha (D-Pa.) for "standing up and telling the truth" about Bush's policies in Iraq, and suggested that the Pennsylvanian had offered a vision around which Democrats could rally.

Ya, ya, ya! We have been hearing this BS for 3 years without ONE SINGLE example of an agenda. Only more obfuscation and rhetoric.

"We will not run from the debate on moral values," Dean said. "We will embrace it."
Their problem is that most American's don't share their values. The RNC should offer paid TV time to the DNC to ensure the American people fully understand exactly which values the democrats support.

Dean practically had a gift handed to him on a silver platter, and he responds by melting the platter down into ingots and giving the ingots to MEChA.
Dean truly is the gift that keeps on giving. I can't wait to see what they do to hack off religious folks even more, too.
At least now the less political folks will know that the Dems will prove to be worse than the GOP on the issue.

Love to figure out a way of using Wormer as the verb with Dean as the subject next time Howard shoots his mouth off.
i.e. "Dean Wormers his position on guns & NASCAR to lure southern voters"
Dean Wormers On Iraqi pullout.
It would be fitting.

His and the Dem plan is undeniably an amnesty, and if not for Bush and the GOP congress' awful record on the issue, and if not for their cowardice and timidity in the face of the demagoguery that always plagues rational discussion of immigration policy, then this would be a great avenue of attack on the Dems.
