Wintry weather will take another swipe at the Eastern Seaboard early next week, and it may do so in a big way.
Monday, low pressure along a sharp cold front will ripple northeast from Louisiana, reaching Georgia and South Carolina late in the day, then waters off New England Tuesday.
As its rain spreads northeastward, they will encounter air cold enough for snow beginning along the southern Appalachian Highlands. The leading edge of snow will reach the mid-Atlantic states Monday before spreading throughout the northern Atlantic Seaboard Monday night and Tuesday.
Details of how far north and west the storm's substantial moisture will reach are not yet settled. If much of the storm's potential is realized, a band of 3 to 6 inches of snow will be laid down in a corridor linking the major East Coast cities.
Visit with us at AccuWeather.com Headlines, as we will be updating on this storm as its path and intensity take on better clarity.
So sorry..........
Southern Tier NYS. We used to get more snow when I was a kid. No snow tomorrow night works out pretty well for us actually, since we've got family traveling on Tuesday. Hope folks who get it are careful. I'll warm up the cocoa anyway, though. Snow'll be over the yardarm somewhere :)
Probably a good thing, too!!!!
When did you get back?
I'm sorry I said anything :(
It's too early for snow..........
The weather seems to be giving you and I a "rest period" for now.
Somewhere along the way the global warming kooks hijacked the argument.
Glad to see the cycle back on point!
Afternoon Corin: Time to fire up the snow shovel. Maybe
That is hilarious!!!!!
SHHHHHHHHHHH.........don't jinx us :)
The day before Thanksgiving I called a talk aradio show up in Northern Delaware, while on hold they did the weather forecast. When my turn came I told the announcer that I was originally calling for the normal greeting and be thankful....but after listening to their forecast I was just Thankful I didn't live in Northern Delaware which was calling for a couple inches of snow on Thanksgiving :)
I recall that, now- my Mom's family is from Ohio, and the few left are still there. I understand snow is not too bad to deal with when you are accustomed to it, and properly prepared for it.
I guess I just have a bad attitude, but for me, that montage' seems to sum up the wacky, contradictory beliefs of the moonbatty Left. All that's missing is a "Halliburton" logo hidden somewhere.
Yesterday - pulled the boat, rigged the plow, you know.
Lunchtime snowfall in DC spells major gridlock. Advise anyone working/visting in DC to take the metro that day. People here cannot drive in snow.
I use Kitty Litter. Salt is too hard on the concrete.
I think it's an excellent montage :)
Need a boat trailer? I got one for sale :)
OH YUCK..............
I'm now in the 1-3" band.
Durn that global warming thing ....
Nope, have one for the little boat, would take a LARGE semi for the big boat.
