Cutlerydirect.com has some beautiful handmade Polish tableware, and Costco (I know...) had some really lovely hand blown Christmas tree ornaments. We bought way more than we're going to need, but we did it because we want to support the Poles.
Mrs. L has been admiring the stoneware for years so this Christmas I decided to suprise her with some.
We'll also lay in some good Polish vodka for the holidays. As if I needed an excuse to keep good vodka around the house...

Yes, I second that. Also, don't forget, Pope John Paul II, was from Poland and the Pope and the courageous Polish people (IMHO) were instrumental in the downfall of communism. It is a well known fact that Eastern Europe is much more conservative and take their Catholic faith more seriously than their western EU neighbors. Maybe they will be the ones to save Europe.
