will hold a candlelight vigil todayIt would be nice if a strong breeze would extinguish the flames, even if Karl Rove would get blamed for the breeze.

Raffle off tickets for chance to put a .22 short behind this creep's left ear. State can then make a buck, end of story.

The Governor of Illinois, Rod Blagojevich, has ruled that
all Illinois pharmacists must be willing dispense morning-after pills if they are presented with the prescription and their pharmacy dispenses contraceptives.
What would these protestors say, if Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger ruled that all employees of prisons with death chambers must be willing to execute death row prisoners?

The mother of Carlie Brucia (sp?), the little girl murdered in Florida, was on TV this weekend, stating that she wishes her daughter's killer could be executed IMMEDIATELY. She dreaded the fact that his death sentence would probably be delayed for years because of appeals, etc., and she wants him executed NOW.
This woman should appear at every event at which Mr. Williams' execution is discussed. People should see the rage (justified, of course) of this poor mother and the impact that a delayed/denied death sentence would have on the families of the victims. No one seems to care about their feelings in this case.

I had an idea for a swell children's book.
Once upon a time in a land far, far away there was a very bad man named Tookie. He was a very bad man. He killed four people and maybe many more. He was sent to jail and later executed for what he had done. And everyone lived happily ever after. THE END.

If this man gets clemency and doesn't need to hide behind "good behavior" for the rest of his life, just watch the jailhouse murder contracts issue from his cell.

In most of these Tookie stories mention is made of Mike Farrell, "actor" as among Williams' supporters. Wouldn't it better be written as "former actor" or "retired actor"? Or have I missed any current acting roles that Mr. Farrell has had?
By the way, one expects ol' Ed Asner to show up at these rallies. Is he still with us?

The murderer-loving crowd is so doting. Where's the candlelight vigil for Albert Owens, Yen-I Yang, Tsai-Shai Yang and Ye Chen Lin - all of whose lives Tookie Williams took. I don't see any one remonstrating for their memory.

Candlelight Vigil Today for Williams
-----I would attend one for the victims. Any movie stars having one for them?
***The flame from the candles are a nice touch for Tookie. I hear it gets mighty hot in the depths of hell where he will be for eternity.

Good post DFU. Has anyone here posited the theory that a reason for wealthy blacks to come forward to ask for clemency, in the face of the obvious evidence Tookie is guilty of multiple murder, is that they were threatened by Crips?
Crips will kill for kicks, so a threat from them is quite credible.
Were Snoop Dog and Jamie Fox threatened with violence by Tookies homies?
If so, I'll give 'em a pass on grounds of street survival, but the limo-liberals like Mike Farrel have no excuse.

I just lit up my Sunday evening cigar with my torch lighter.
Does that mean I have participated in the vigil?
I'm hoping to enjoy another cigar/torchlight vigil after this dog-rocket tookie thing gets wasted on the 13th.

While investigating the DU website I found something there that was very helpful.
They supplied the email form to personally request that Governor Schwartzenegger commute Poopie's sentence of death.
I used the form to request that the governor ignore any impulse to commute this animal's sentence!
