Is a Bush endorsement of McCain enough to sway your opinion?

Posted on 12/04/2005 9:19:56 AM PST by cubram

Some on the morning talk shows suggested that McCain is the natural successor to Bush for his committment to the war, and that Bush will "pass the baton" to him.

My question is: if Bush endorses McCain will you think aboout voting for him? Personally I don't care for McCain for a number of reasons, but if I think he will continue W's legacy, I might reconsider.

What do you think?

I will not support him in the Primaries and I'll never trust him. But if the race comes down to McCain vs Hillary I'd have to vote for him.

The real RINOs are the ones who badmouth conservatives and the core platforms of this party in the name of selling out to the Democrats.

I'm tired of Republicans who suck up to Democrats. I have absolutely no intention of voting for either a Democrat or a Republican who acts like a Democrat.

The real RINOS are the ones who stay home.

If neither the GOP doesn't have a conservative on the ticket, I'm staying home.

You can call me a RINO all you like, but not all of us are "party first" kneepadders.

Did it help Harriett Miers?

However, if the choice was Hillary or anyone else, I'd vote for anyone else.

But if the race comes down to McCain vs Hillary...

Then it'd be Evil Leftist Hillary vs. Crazy Leftist-suckup Hillary.

That's not a choice, that's a Faustian bargain.

I'd vote for McCain over Killary.

Same here. As Thomas Sowell says, the only reason to vote Republican is a democrat.

Pure speculation at this stage... But I don't think President Bush will endorse anyone during the primary season since it appears no one for the administration top level appears to be in the running. After the convention he'll endorse and support the nominee, imo.

Absolutely not! Not in the primary and not in the presidential elec. Should McCain end up as the presidential candidate and lose to the dems then the GOP have no one to blame but themselves. I will throw my vote away to the libertarian party......

NO to McCain! He's too willing (sometimes
eager)to side with Kerry and Kennedy.

Bush, hopefully, will give his nod to the
man from Virginia, George Allen. Guiliani
might be the hope of NY, but a mayor won't
get the rest of the nation's vote. Allen's
been a governor, so experience comes to the
fore.

As for the slime-tossing campaigns, cite
one candidate, Dem OR Rep whose personal
life can stand too close scrutiny!

Please, ChadGore, tell us you mean you "couldn't" care less about McCain. Unless you really mean you could. Say what you mean and mean what you say.

No. I make up my own mind, and when it comes to McCain I will not vote for him in the primaries no matter what.

When it comes to the general election, I will cross that bridge when we come to it.

McCain is not fit to be a senator much less a president. He has sold out to the left...he is occasionally right on some issues but usually he is way out in left-field.
