Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm has a 12-point lead in her re-election bid

Along with the nation's highest unemployment but that doesn't matter to socialists.

FYI: The President's 52% JA on election day was based on LIKELY VOTERS while today's polling results are based on ADULTS.

According to Rasmussen, to estimate 'likely voter' opinion one need only add 3 points to the 'adult' result:

47 + 3 = 50% JA among likely voters -- within the MOE of election day 2004.

Bottomline: Statistically, the President's JA rating is where it was on election day 2004. To think otherwise, one must blindly accept manufactured MSM polling data that grossly OVERSAMPLES Democrats/Democrat-leaning Independents
among the 'adult only' population. [NOTE: AP/Ipsos Reid routinely bases its results on a sample comprised of 52% Democrat/Democrat-leaning Independents and 40% Republican/Republican-leaning Independents -- the other MSM-owned polling organizations to the same . . . BOGUS!]

I guess the "radical" concept (for this White House) of defending yourself against the outrageous lies of the DNC and their MSM lapdogs is working. Who'd have thunk it? (Other than a few million Bush loyalists who were being driven crazy by the White House "kick me" stategery.)

Thankfully, this past few weeks of "offense" AND "defense" do not appear to be too little, too late.

Polls are useeless and stupid. If they have any use it should be only during election campaigns.

Imagine if the country were to be governed based on weekly polls. The country would be directionless and chaotic. That's why the U.S. is not a direct democracy. Most people are not well informed to make the decisions which a president and a cabinet should make and are better capable of doing.

The polls that matter happen on election day. Continuing to query the public is fine, but just to understand public opinion at any one point. Major decisions cannot and should not be made using public opinion from a specific point in time.

People act more responsibly when their opinion really matters, and that's during elections.

Amazing what happens when you play offense. Hard to score points playing defense only.

Fighting back is working. My hubby and I were just discussing that when W goes on offensive, people tend to remember why they liked him in the first place.

Most people don't actually believe he is a liar, and IMO, believe just the opposite.

Polls schmolls, leaders never lead by polls!! Raz is the only consistant pollster around the elections and the others just cherry pick their samples and PravdABDNC cherry picks the polls to report. The polls are only another club to convince the public to hate W as much as they do.

Great news. I know the Fox poll has his numbers climbing too. How does he stand on all the other lying polls? Just curious. CBS spiked their poll a few weeks ago.

DemocRATS should just go sit in a corner. Everything they try seems to backfire on them. No on second thought...Keep it up DemocRATS. Seal your destiny in the SCRAP HEAP of History.

HOO-AHHHH!!!

As I've said before...THEN we can rope the Republicans and yank them all to the right. At our present course and speed, and IFF we can be patient, that's only a couple election cycles away, IMHO.

Rasmussen has NOT been mentioned ONCE in the recent month of negative polling about the President. One look at his daily polling results explains WHY!!

Has the "Dems in Congress" approval rating improved? dropped? ....or is it still at a record-low 25% (Harris, 10 days ago).

Rasmussen in the only poll AFAIK that adjusts the results to the correct party balance. All the other polls (including Fox News) simply calls random adults and then report in their internals that Democrats out numbered Republicans by 8 -15 points. For what ever reason, Republicans are less likely to respond.

CBS last month actually adjusted their results in October to give something like an 8 point Democrat advantage a 13 point advantage.

For awhile he was stuck in 42-43% range.

I've been paying careful attention to RASS and his approval rating now seems to be hovering around 45-46% consistently with 44% one day and now this high of 47%. There was a single day with 48% somewhere in there as well. Overall, the trend favors the President.

he only recently remarked about the economy the last couple of days, so I'd attribute better mood to gas prices. he could really make significant headway there, though, if he emphasizes it repeatedly.

Iraq is apart of a pushback the last few weeks and the cumulative of this pushback is beginning to be felt. As stated, it's takes a few weeks for our communication medium to filter past the MSM, but unlike the past, it does filter through. His message is being heard and his supproters are returning to the fold.

I never beieved the Presidents polling numbers were as bad as Gallup, Ipsos, ABC, NBC, CBS etc.. showed. You only need look at the methodology of recent polls to see that they oversampled democrats, sometimes as much as 12%.

That said, I do believe the President did take a hit. I firmly believe though that it is all tied to GAS PRICES. The higher the price of gas the lower the poll numbers for the President.

It looks like the leadership in the Democrat Party has made a grave error in assuming the poll numbers were because of their assault on the war and the military. If the poll numbers are , as I stated, in relation to gas prices, the democrats have gone down a road that leads to a cliff.
