British Columbia Lesbians Determined to Extract More From Knights of Columbus

EDMONTON, December 2, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The two lesbians who succeeded in getting a BC Human Rights Tribunal to grant them $2,000 in damages from the Knights of Columbus for the “humiliation” they suffered for being denied a hall to celebrate their same-sex “wedding” are appealing that decision. They want to extract much more from the Catholic men’s fraternal association and make an example of them.

Meanwhile, a web-logger (blogger) has analyzed the decision and circumstances of the case and concluded that the Human Rights decision was “pathetic” and a “travesty” of justice.

In reading through the decision, Bob Tarantino at Let It Bleed noted that “The three panellists furrowed their brows, quoted a whole bunch of irrelevant case law, contradicted themselves about a jillion times and then, when not even that mash-up could get them to the result they wanted, they just made it up.”

I felt the same way until I realized we are charged to spread the gospel... not just where it's comfortable. If I stood up and shouted repent in my parish... I would probably get stoned. Yes, it starts with us and we have to give of our faith and be tested... it's for us as well. When they started Theology on Tap here I freaked out... until I saw the conversions... in the bars.

We wouldn't have NA and AA meetings if that's the case, but at least they're working to a conversion in their lives. I must still be a hypocrite, because I still wouldn't want them to desecrate the church, not just because of their intent to do it for ACLU means or because their worship is the flesh. Maybe that's why Jesus didn't have a house of worship... um, never thought of that... he was always on the move. Can anyone find anywhere that Jesus invited any sinner to a place? I have to check.

Flashback... eating with the tax collectors... in their domicile (huge no-no, what was Jesus thinking?).
He comes not to save the righteous, the heart of the law is mercy.

I seem to remember a son who had to go through the pig sty to come home to his father (don't we all), a prostitute saved (no comment), demons cast out of a demoniac and a thief on a cross who just made it.

The gospel must be spread... and not just where it's comfortable; God wishes all men be saved.

I know what you mean though. Even praying in front of a abortion clinic (much less inside), is an adventure... to say the least.

The March for Life in D.C. is a case in point. The protesters are older women, gays, lesbians... you name it.
To see them cursing in front of the kids, grabbing crotches and making lewd graphic comments... is amazing. I always ask... Why are they here anyway... they're not having children (LOL). Funny, you would think their side would have lots of men for pro-choice... nope. The other women are a slave to selfishness, you know convenience... a choice after not making a choice before (self-esteem and worth of body anyone?). They worship Molech I guess.

probably don't have much in the way of tangible assets in the opposing group...

assembling a meeting hall takes decades of contributions from many folks.

What a surprise that this travesty is happening in Canada.
You must of missed that religion as hate speech ruling and what's going on in the churches there.

In Canada, thanks to our phony 'constitution' - Pierre Trudeau's imposed alleged 'Charter of Rights and Freedoms' - there is no automatic guarantee insofar as any 'right' to hold property is concerned.

I think I know what these people are trying to do. And I'm talking about all this leftist PC BS, not just lesbians hassling the Knights of Columbus.

They are just trying to piss us off. They are trying to provoke us into going Sling-Blade on them. They are begging to become victims of a violent, right-winger.

For some reason, they think they can win if there is a bloody backlash.

Canada is much worse about this stuff. There was a Canadian who runs a print shop and he refused to take a job printing a bunch of homosexual garbage. He got nailed to the wall for it.

Clearly, you people have never heard of sarcasm.

;)

It works best with a deadpan face and voice.

DCardno said, “I’m gonna help with their fine”

If each and every one of us would send $5 to this Knights of Columbus group in BC, we can help arm them for the next round when the happily-offended pseudomarital couple hits them again (as the article said they plan to do.)

I believe postage from the USA to Canada is 80 cents.

The address:

Grand Knight Tom Carr
Knights of Columbus
2245 Fraser Ave.
Port Coquitlam, BC

This is nothing less than using the courts for terrorism (calling it mere legalized theft falls short).
