Yet another citizen protecting his own.
I have a question for Michael Douglas. How come he was only motivated when John Lennon was murdered? What about the people before John? What about those people. How come John Lennon's murder was the motivating factor? Just curious.

It's probably not nice to hope that people die, but if they do, they won't have another opportunity to take an innocent life.

I love stories with happy endings Me too.
An armed society is a polite society. Remember when men used to tip thier hats when women went by? Know why? To show that they were not going for their gun. True story.

I couldn't tell if two of the guys are black, or if two of the masks are black.

Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice. Ammo is cheap. Life is expensive.

A point might be made that if the fleeing thugs had their backs to the one firing the shots, the prosecutor in a court case would use this against the defense and call it excessive use of force. A very good point.
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Those in Washington State should read the pamphlet/book called Washington State Gun Rights and Responsibilities by Dave Workman.
In the book it talks about the concept of "necessary and reasonable force." Luckily, in Washington State there is no "duty to retreat" as there is in many other states.

To show that they were not going for their gun. True story. Actually, the version I heard has to do with knights on horses, helmet visors, and not having a sword or mace in their hand.

Chalk one up for the good guys. I'm sure this will be picked up and reported far and wide in the MSM.IF...it is...you can bet their angle will be the father jeopardized the son's life...because of what he did.
NOT..that the father may have actually saved his son's life!!!

How come John Lennon's murder was the motivating factor? Just curious. Because in Mr. Douglas' mind nobody gives a crap about John Doe. Little does he know, that among real people, only about 2 more than nobody gives a crap about John Lennon.

Seems like if the father was going to shoot, he should have hit the guy with the gun.I recommend you change your screen name...........................
To: Osage Orange
I agree. After reading the story, I wondered if the father would have shot at the suspect if he realized a gun was to his kid's head. This turned out a lot better than it could have, and I'm not faulting the father at all.

Accuracy is more important than the caliber.Excellent point! But if you choose a 9mm, make it a head shot.

Maybe you should have been a NATO advisor when they commissioned a few million Berrettas in the 70s and 80s.
BTW, Most of my ex-military guys (I was not in the United States military) like the 9 better than a .45 acp, due to getting back on taget in a multiple tap situation.
My personal choice is a Sig 9 P226 with Remington Golden Sabre +P. The carry is a 9mm Kurz P232 with Golden Sabre.
If I am more accurate with a a few .22 magnum multople rounds to the cranium, then I am more effective wounding a perp in the shoulder with a .45 acp.

Many SWAT units around the country are going to the .45, the Kimber seems to be the version of choice.
It's funny that real life situations (such as combat) are the driving force behind the reemergence of the .45. I guess ol' Mr. Browning new a thing or two about firearms after all.

I don't wish for people to die, but the perps did put themselves in a position where deadly force was certainly justified. BTW, nice segment with Sean Hannity the other day.
To: Labyrinthos
Yes, it was justified. Glad you heard Sean.
