FReep the Poll: Rate RINO Jim Kolbe's Performance
Sierra Vista Herald (Poll is on left side, scroll down) ^ | 3 December 2005 | Sierra Vista Herald Poll

Go HERE. The poll is on the left side, scroll down. Vote early, vote often.

U.S. Rep. Jim Kolbe, who represents Cochise County, announced last week that he was not going to seek a 12th term in office. How would you rate his work in Congress over the past 21 years?

Effective.
Somewhat effective.
Not very effective.
Ineffective.

This poll needs to be FReeped. This is a newspaper in Kolbe's home district. Kolbe lost Cochise County to conservative Republican challenger Randy Graf in last year's primary election. Tucson easily nullified our votes. This newspaper is in the heart of Cochise County.

I can only guess that maybe it's a way of pushing the party there to support someone further to the right in whatever primaries would be held to seek his replacement (?)

Maybe it is a Free Republic tradition to FReep polls which may demonstrate support for a conservative position.

Let see -

He's an open borders rumpranger for starters.
Pro gay marriage, wants open gays to serve in the military.
Takes money from Soros.

We have had enough of the old poofter.

He's probably retiring because he's HIV positive.

Okay... only the district is barely favoring Republican registration. Bad strategy for the Republicans if you ask me.

An article in Human Events Online says that it he's retiring because Randy Graf as well as hostile constituents (thank you very much) gave him so much hell that he was just sick of it. We made life so unenjoyable when he was back home in his district (protests over lax border security and his amnesty scam, illegal alien trash regularly stacked against his office door, angry constituents provoking him to red-faced anger at town halls, etc.) that he decided he didn't want to do it anymore. He's not going to get his way on a wide open border and giving amnesty and benefits to criminal invaders, so he's taking his ball and going home. Good riddance.

By the way, the article makes an error when it states that Kolbe outspent Graf by 2-to-1. Kolbe actually outspent him by at least 10-to-1, yet Graf did relatively well against a well entrenched, well-financed career politician who sits on the Appropriations Committee.

You're a defeatist and I don't believe you understand this district as well as you think you do. Should we jettison our traditional Republican principles and accept someone who is pro-abortion (even partial birth abortion), a strong promoter of the radical gay agenda, a person who abuses his power to undermine border enforcement efforts in his home district, a person who wants to throw the borders open and reward criminal invaders with amnesty, benefits, and citizenship, and someone who is a supporter of the globalist Clinton Global Initiative - among a long list of heinous things Kolbe is all about. No. Ill-informed defeatist statements like yours is what has kept the RINO in office this long. Screw that. Send the RINOs packing, replace them with true Republicans. Only cowards cut and run.

No. In fact, next year will probably be the worst yet. He won't be out of office until Jan 2007 and there's more than a year to do even more damage in his lame duck session.

No, I wont.

He is one reason there are no NRA sanctioned gun clubs on the east side of Tucson - He specifically claimed in one of his campaigns to relocate the Tucson Rod and Gun Club from Sabino Canyon to another east side location.

He takes money from Soros and will not slowly wither away.

He wrote language into legislation that still hamstrings Tucson area Border Patrol enforcement. When will that language be removed from law?

He openly supports gay marriage.

He supports avowed homosexuals in the military.

No peep from him on the bankrupt Catholic diocese. They are bankrupt due to his sodomite friends.

His home was broken into by illegals while he was away on a legislative session.

He has done nothing for the local area. Check his website out.

He is also an eco-nazi and is involved in land swaps on the federal, state and local level.

His brother found Persian written diaries on his ranch.

I reserve the right to stick it to this so-called representative. I want him to relocate to San Francisco - where he belongs.

it's people like you that make the rest of us look bad. Not agreeing with his policies is one thing but your added "comments" make you look rather ignorant and uneducated. Jim Kolbe is a good American who has served his country in Vietnam and Congress. He has earned his respect in Washington.

If he was gay while in the Navy, then he was violating the law/regulations. So much for his service.

He's earned no respect for the damage he's done. Well, unless you're Vincente Fox, a bloody abortionist butcher, a radical militant homosexual, Bill Clinton (see Kolbe's involvement with the Clinton Global Initiative this year), George Soros (see Soros' financial support of the Main Street Republican Partnership and Kolbe's membership in the organization who endorsed John Kerry last year), a criminal invader, or a terrorist bringing WMDs across the border in Kolbe's district.

I did not demean his service.

I demean his Actions.

If someone is a VietNam vet, they are untouchable? Uncriticizable?

I bet you were in a quandary during the last presidential election, with the big Vietnam vet Kerry running.

Just like Cunningham I suppose.

Jim Kolbe is a good American who has served his country ...

The same could have been said of Benedict Arnold at one time.

(Well, except for the "Jim Kolbe" part)
