She's not attacking veterans, she's attacking a lilly-livered politician who is endangering the troops to protect his phony baloney job.

"Cowards cut and run, Marines never do."

You hear that Murtha? Don't let Nancy's Knockers make you "take your eye off the ball" and go over to the Dark Side!

She is my congresswoman and I plan to vote for her again.

Shame on the republicans who bashed her after she put Murtha in his place. She said what the so called men of the Republican party didn't have the stones to say.

Say it again Jean...and this time no apology is needed.
Murtha is wrong and giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

Benedict Arnold was a war hero before he turned as well.

Let the Democrats spend as much money as they want attacking Congresswoman Jean Schmidt. All that will do is (i) remind people of how they started saying that we should cut and run from Iraq but then voted against it on the House floor and (ii) take money away from races that the Democrats actually have a snowball's chance in hell of winning. Congresswoman Schmidt will coast to reelection, unless she is defeated in the GOP primary (and whoever wins the GOP primary will win the general); the 2nd CD is overwhelmingly Republican, and the 2006 election will not have the anemic turnout of this year's special election that made the race uncomfortably close.

Lamar has some sense. They also wouldn't let the LGBT advocacy group (the name escapes me) put up billboards in south Georgia promoting the gay lifestyle as they had done in Atlanta. The ads consisted of a group of people dressed in occupational garb (ie police, nurses, doctors, etc. NOT Frank N. Furter from the Rocky Horror Picture Show) with a tagline saying that they are in your community providing a positive influence.

I'm sure Lamar knows that several farmers down here know how to operate a cutting torch, or might throw Lamar off their land.

An advertising company that gives most of its political donations to Republicans blocked the Democratic National Committee from putting up billboards criticizing GOP Rep. Jean Schmidt of Ohio.

I'm sure MSNBC and CNN would give them free time for this crap. Don't let Jean be Newtered for speaking the truth!

Isn't it a rule that you can't whine about something once someone has apologized about it?

"An advertising company that gives most of its political donations to Republicans blocked the Democratic National Committee from putting up billboards criticizing GOP Rep. Jean Schmidt of Ohio. "

Good. This isn't a freedom of speech issue. Perhaps they can find a sewage authority which might allow them to paste their canards on stormdrains.

How the Dems can possibly criticize a woman who did nothing more than state the obvious and quote a GENUINE American Hero, is beyond me.

Murtha is a traitor. He is in the same category as Benedict Arnold, excpet Arnold at least had a couple of victories under his belt.

Everytime Vipers and traitors like Pelosi and Murtha talk about pulling out, it encourages the terrorists in Iraq to try to kill more American soldiers.

If they thought we were going to hang tough and stay there as long as needed, they would be less likely to persue their agenda so vigorously.

As in the Viet Nam War, the same traitors are trying to loose in the arena of public opinion, what so many brave American soldiers, living, dead, and mutilated, have achieved on the battlefield with their courage, sacrifice and blood.
