Al-Jazeera has broadcast a video in which kidnappers threaten to kill four Christian peace activists unless their demands are met by Dec. 8... Developing... How many are "left" that STILL need a mallet across the head to come to their senses and realize that we are at war?

These criminals need to be arrested by the police, read them their rights, and given lawyers to prepare them for a trial. This is a criminal act, not an act of war..../sarc

For starters, these "peace activists" are geopolitical morons. Their sponsoring group is blaming the United States for the fact that these Iraqi (or perhaps Iranian, Palestinian or Syrian) murderers have kidnapped their people and are threatening to kill them. That's how these subhumans deal with civilized people, including these four people.
I've said before, I say again, the President of the US should halt this mantra of "bring these people to justice." They don't need to be captured, and tried in some courtroom. They need to be, as General Patton pointed out so clearly in WW II, to be killed as efficiently as possible, until the survivors decide to stop fighting.
That is the ONLY correct response to this barbaric behavior. As Lawrence of Arabia said as he was leading the assault on Damascus, in the movie of the same name, "No prisoners!"

Yeah, right.
These "peace activists" are in about as much danger as Osama bin Laden.

I feel sorry for the folks, but they chose to go there.
Better luck next time, peace activists.
It sucks, but you will be dead soon. Perhaps others will not be so hasty to run into danger.

Bush allowed those peace activists there under false pretenses. Parts of the CIA peace activist report was not given to Congress either. And once the peace activists were in Iraq Bush didn't have a plan for what they would do with them.
Bush let those peace activists in without any flowers to put in the end of rifles or one single really cool peace activists song to sing. Something like "all we are saying is give infidels a chance". Nope, not one peace activists song and I hear that even Rumsfield said that they were not given the proper tie dyed shirts. They had to buy their own because they could nt be silk screened fast enough.
I'm afraid that this will lead to us withdrawing our peace activists too early and that may put the whole contry in chaos.....

The ideal outcome: Delta operators break in just as the taping starts, with the first knife barely applied to the first peacenik throat. The Deltas kill the terrorists in a hurricane of gunfire right in front of the intended beheading victims. The camera, its operator dead of a .45 bullet in what passes for his brain, continues to roll. A masked Delta holsters his pistol, looks at the camera and gives it the finger, declaring "up yours, Ramsey Clark." Fade to black.
