I know there's already a thread on this subject, but this is a BRAND NEW ARTICLE from a different source. Uh ohh... Maybe the story is slowing starting to creep out!

My thoughts exactly. Does the FBI believe the public with buy that lame story? If so, THEY must be smoking something.

Yeah, the bottlerockets I remember were firecrackers on the end of stick, and they flew 100 yards at most. We used to shoot them at each other like idiots.

BOTTLE ROCKET OR FLARE ?? I do not think so. If he was over the Pacific he had probably already climbed a couple of thousand feet. Not even the Road Runners Acme bottle rockets will do that!

Worse would be if the FBI believed that story.

FBI agents believe it was a flare or a bottle rocket I'm more concerned that an investigating FBI agent believes that bottle rockets can move at such speeds and reach 6000+ feet.

FBI agents believe it was a flare or a bottle rocket, but say they may never know if that's what it actually was, KYW Newsradio 1060 reported. Priceless.
The average altitude achievable by a bottle rocket is about 100-200 feet.
The highest altitude flare available for private use from Orion is the SOLAS flare - 900 feet.
A commercial airliner departing LAX over the ocean would be at least 3500 feet
More lies from the government

Stranger gravity defying things have happened before. You know, fuel tanks have been known to explode on their own. I'm now afraid to pass wind these days.
How does the government get so smart?
To: RogerWilko
I know there's already a thread on this subject, And in that other thread, we already stated bottle rockets do not soar to 6000 feet, which is the altitude where the jet was. Incredible any newspaper would allow a report to have "bottle rockets" as a possibility when the altitude was 6000 feet.

Ahhhh, the good old days of being a kid. I remember some guy yelling at us from his upstairs porch to knock it off and I lit one and managed to toss it in the air and have it fly up on to his porch and go off....
Never ran so fast in my life!!!!
To: RogerWilko
It would be nice if they could be bothered to mention the plane's altitude when this happened.
The FBI has repeatedly covered up incidents of this kind, so you more or less expect them to cover this one up too, whatever really happened. It has become knee-jerk policy. No terrorist incidents allowed. Move on. Nothing to see.

On the 28th of Nov. There's a WHOLE thread on it, but I think this is only the 2nd story that's come out so far.
To: RogerWilko
Nothing to see here. DHS has things under control. Move along.
