It's not like the "objective media" is going to do that for him...

Oh yes I definitely agree. I think President Bush was a little naive --easy for me to say-- in thinking that not only the MSM, but his own party, would help him in getting his message(s) across. I'm still not sure if he understands completely that the libs and the MSM's only objective is to get him anyway possible, even in a time of war, as sad as that is. Sometimes I think he is too nice for his own good.

Just so you know...I'm first in line to have Murtha kiss my ass. Looks like we've almost got it covered.

I'm a bit late getting to this thread, but thanks for the ping! But I told PogySailor I'm first in line to have Murtha kiss my ass. Anybody want Pelosi?

I would like to point out this comment sounds, if one were an idiot, as if Dems are trying to make themselves into hawks. Mark my words.
"I'm endorsing what Mr. Murtha is saying," Miss Pelosi said, "which is that the status quo is not working and that we need to have a plan that makes us safer, our military stronger and makes Iraq more stable. I believe that a majority of [Democrats] supports Mr. Murtha."

I guess Rangel hasn't seen my son's paycheck. That son of a bitch. Hmmmmm. That doesn't quite sound right...can't tell if I'm talking about Rangel or my son? LOL!

You know, Coop, I've seen you post this a couple times, and something about this one struck me. I don't know what : )

But I would like to say I am very sorry that happened to you, and damn sure wish I'd been standing next to you when it happened, darlin'. I can't tell you what it means to me to read about the Friday night FReeps. I hope you all know, I've said it before, but feel I can't say it enough...how much it would mean to me if I ever find myself inside those walls with my son, to be able to look out the window and find you all there. God bless you all.

Thanks for the kind words. But don't worry about me. That sleazeball didn't hurt my feelings at all. I was actually pleased that I got under his skin enough that his true feelings came out. [grin] Yes, I'm sure a couple of those folks are really kind, misguided people who just want war to end (don't we all?). But the main players are vicious, lying anti-American filth that feel they need to further punish our wounded and their families who have already given so much. But they mask their true intentions because even hard-core leftists think their actions are despicable.

I pray that we never meet in the manner you described. Thank you for your son's proud service to our nation.

To your prayer, I'll say a loud amen. And you should change your tag line when addressing this subject : )
What FReepers do on Friday nights is priceless in my book.

We do good work (as do many others around here), but we get the same core group every Friday. There are hundreds upon hundreds of registered FReepers (not to mention lurkers) in this area, and we get between 20-30 for an evening. And these events are some of the most callous, disgraceful events I've ever seen or heard of - protesting outside a hospital where are combat wounded and their family members have to see that crap.

Yet the response is underwhelming, to put it mildly. Unfortunately the tagline ain't goin' anywhere.
