Cindy Sheehan exposes media
campaign against her

WASHINGTON, November 30.—Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan, the mother of U.S. soldier killed in Iraq, today exposed a media campaign designed to discredit her ability to mobilize U.S. citizens against the war, she revealed to Prensa Latina.

In a statement posted on the website Editor & Publicist, Sheehan stated that stories and photos published by AP and Reuters, portray a false image of her most recent action in Texas.

According to the peace movement leader, the U.S. press published a photo of her—alone—while she was waiting for people to attend the launch of her book Not One More Mother’s Child, giving the impression that it was not well received.

She also criticized The Washington Post summary of this activity, which stated that less than 100 people attended the launch; however Sheehan assured that 100 preview copies of the book were sold at the event.

She explained that her photo was taken while she was waiting to autograph books for those in attendance. She announced that $2,000 was raised for the peace cause from book’s sale.

At this event, the peace activists also unveiled an anti-war monument and held a vigil.

“We’re here to say that the killing has to stop,” emphasized Sheehan, whose son Casey was killed last year in an ambush near Baghdad.

The peace activist is one of more that 2,100 U.S. women who have lost their sons or husbands in Iraq since President Bush ordered the armed aggression in March, 2003.

I think we Freepers should make an effort to "welcome her" wherever she shows up.

Actually I want her front and center and getting all kinds of media attention. She's such a complete lamebrain that the more people see her the better it is for us.

No photos have turned up showing her army of supporters buying the books.

I wonder why that is?

She bares a striking resemblance to Rosalie Crutchley, the woman in an episode of "The Prisoner" who was hypnotized to be in love with and chase poor Patrick McGoohan.

I wish I had a picture of here in her floppy hat.

I believe that if she sold 100 books, it was AT the Crawford Peace House and not Camp Crazy. I've been looking over the liberal sites and blogs connnected with Camp Crazy and haven't seen anyone lined up while she qas in the tent.

If you pitch a tent and the circus doesn't come, is she still the leader of the Peace Movement.

Of course she is!

"She also criticized The Washington Post summary of this activity, which stated that less than 100 people attended the launch; however Sheehan assured that 100 preview copies of the book were sold at the event.

It could well be that fewer than 100 people attended, and that one or two bought the book in bulk (for an organization, or even a paid shill). The newspaper account would remain truthful. Hey, even the Post gets it right sometimes!"

What is a 'preview' copy. That does sound like a shill buying the book. So 100 to a shill and 33 to the attenders?
