You know what, I recognize what has happened to this area and I chronicle it. Does that mean that I hate the area?
One thing that I've noticed through years of discussing issues on forums like this, is that people can't stand the truth if it touches on one of their pet loves.
I share your displeasure with people outside the area damning LA, when they haven't lived it, but those who have should be adult enough to admit what is taking place here. Only by admitting what is taking place and squaking about it will perceptions be changed and matters improve.
What do you hope to gain by saying that this area is great and that nobody should tell the truth about what is taking place?
Wow! I really admire the way you stick up for your home town. You're a great booster. If the Chamber of Commerce or Tourist Bureau or whoever promotes LA was aware of you, I'm sure they'd hire you at a princely salary.
