Plane Lands At KCI After Taliban Note Found

No One Arrested

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A passenger jet landed at Kansas City International Airport Thursday afternoon after a threatening note was found on the plane.

KMBC reported that America West Flight 820 was on its way from Phoenix to Boston when the note was found on a restroom wall. It said, 'Taliban is here."

The pilot made an unscheduled stop at KCI. The passengers -- about 100 of them -- exited the plane and went through security again while the plane was searched by federal officials.

KMBC reported that no one was arrested or detained. After several hours, the passengers were allowed to reboard and the plane continued on its way to Boston

Must have been left by one of those suspicious "band members" returning from Vegas.

Sounds like an idiotic prank. The perpetrator should be forced to run a gauntlet the length of the runway straddled by the other 99 passengers wielding blunt-force trauma weapons of their own choosing.

Why did they search the passengers? They should hae asked for handwriting samples.

They should hae asked for handwriting samples.

Are you willing to give any LE agency a sample or specimen of anything they want at any time?
