Jumping from the Lusitania to the Titanic.

I hope so. Maybe they can put Juliet from Fox as the morning achor for NBC.
Mainly just so I can look at her.

Hmmmm.... Seems pretty pathetic that Couric moving from NBC to CBS would improve the credibility of both networks.

The last time I watched CBS News, Dan Rather uttered the words:
"President Clinton took steps today to save the world economy." I changed the channel that very instant and ain't been back.

I read an item yesterday that insiders at CBS were opining that by hiring Couric to replace Rather was like hiring an imbecile to replace an idiot.

Fortunately, they all appear to still be overlooking the fact that Fox News is kicking thier tails because they produce news shows that don't put the viewers to sleep in 5 minutes.

Does anyone connect the word gravitas to perky Couric? I don't. I do enjoy her fake gravitas, once a year, when I run into her program by accident.
I would love to see her fail big time in the evening, just as she has in the morning.

Jumping from the Lusitania to the Titanic.
The country would be better off is she would just jump off a bridge.

I that case, it might also improve the IQ of both networks.

The CBS hours would likely be better for a mother of young kids like Katie; however, to follow Dan Rather may not be desirable. Either way, ka-Ching for Katie.

Go for it, Katie. Look what a similar move did for Connie Chung's career. I'm for anything that will get your perky little a** off the Today Show.

"The job of a nightly news anchor is different: it requires less range, but more depth."I saw K-K-K-Katie's Kolonoskopy on TV a few years back. I can assure you this woman has depth.
IMO, perfect for the CBS Evening News, from which Dan Rather "left", as the posted article explains.
