That's a good idea.
I do believe however these attempts by the secularists to remove God will impact Jews just as much. Same God. Whether you read Isaiah or Daniel They both tell us what the future holds for us when mankind rejects God. We can already see the results Godlessness is bringing.
Happy Hannukah.
Shaken, not stirred?!!?!? :)
***
Not shaken - I'm Jewish AND conservative so stirring it up comes naturally!
LOL! :)
My understanding from reading the Word is that Jesus kept ALL Jewish laws and holy days and Chanukah (The Feast of Dedication) was no different.
Yes he did. Jesus was a totally observant Jew. He had to be to fulfill the law.
How nice of them.
That show was SO GOOD! It was inspirational. So unlike the previous night when the Commie lady wanted to undo the federal holiday and that goofy guy kept giggling.
Absolutely it will impact Jews...no question about that. It will impact anyone other than Muslims. They're allowed outward diosplays of their religion. Example, the calling to prayer 5 times a day in a neighborhood in Michigan. The neighbors are going nuts with the noise.
I do to. It shows consideration which is, after all, a Christian value.

This is precisely why we hear so much about Hanukkah. Some people don't like to hear this, but the fact reamains that one of the first successful acts of political correctness was the elevation of Hanukkah to an eqaul of Christmas, when it is not--either from a theological, cultural, or historical perspective. Christmas is the second most important feast on the Christian calendar; Hanuakkah is a minor festival, with no basis in the canonical Hebrew Bible.
Several years ago a co-worker gave me a nicely wrapped present. She explained that she and her family were Hindu and didn't celebrate Christmas. Well, I didn't want to be rude and tell her I don't celebrate Christmas either, so the next day I brought a gift for her. :)
By an unusual coincidence, Hanukkah begins this year on the night of December 25. It normally occurs earlier in the month.
You guys fascinate me.
Devout Christian believers who believe Jesus was the foretold Jewish Messiah but then de facto deny that he was Jewish or acted as a Jewish.
Was the Last Supper a Passover Seder? If he celebrated Passover why would you think he didn't celebrate every other Jewish observance.
When, according to you, did he stop celebrating Hanukkah? Was it celebrated at his home when he was a child?
If you knew anything about Judaism, you would know how derivative Christianity is of Judaism.
FRmail me to be added or removed from this Judaic/pro-Israel/Russian Jewry ping list.
Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.
OK it starts on Dec 25 (also known as holloween because every good engineer knows that OCT31=DEC25 :^) ) When does it end.?
It starts this year on the night of December 25th!!
I am a man, but if it's Mother's Day, and you want to wish me a Happy Mother's Day, feel free. It won't hurt my feelings a bit.
