I can't get to the Washinton Post article because I won't register with any of them. If you can, see if you can pull up the 11/3 article by Hoagland.

Analyzing the Wilson affair and the CIA role in sparking the investigation, Toensing said that "The CIA conduct in this matter is either a brilliant covert action against the White House or inept intelligence tradecraft."

I think it is 11/3 because that's about the correct time that talk show hosts began floating the CIA behind Plamegate plot, but I do not remember any of them saying it came from this article. (Hoagland, WP)

It says November 3rd and that a WSJ article the same day Victoria Toensing said the Wilson affair was so sordid that the Congress had a duty to investigate.

Do Congressional conservatives have the courage to take on the CIA?Note that the author asks if Congressional conservatives, not Republicans, have the guts to do what needs to be done.

Jim Hoagland confirmed it? Well, what more could we possibly need? Excuse me while I yawn.

I've a strong hunch it will turn out that Wilson and Plame outed Plame.

How is it possible that so few people know the meaning of the word 'confirmed?'
Hint: It does NOT mean 'repeated' or 'parrotted.'
