There's a reason why all these Congresscritters retire with millions that their annual salaries could not possbily have added up to.
Randall was always a flake when he was here in Philadelphia, but its a shame to see it come to this.
Owl_Eagle(If what I just wrote makes you sad or angry,
"He had a thing for 19th century commodes."
They turned out to be his exit, as in down the....."
How many three night stands did he get for $12,000? Using data from the Dick Morris incident, $200 translates to 60 hours. Sounds like only one three night stand. Then again, if it was from an antique store it was probably an antique chick, so figure only 1/4 to 1/2 of the rate Morris paid for a young babe. So maybe he had several three night stands with ancient hookers. What a sickie.
This is just the stuff he admitted to.
very very sad....he let us down bigtime
no excuse for that....some game tickets, a plane ride or hunting trip or special edition 45-70...ok, I got it ...fair enough...been there, done that but this was way way over the top.
"Duke",.....there can be only one and you ain't him pardner!
*see library for starters
I'm starting to think that "Gridlock" is what we need again. We were better off on spending when GOP had congress and Dem was in White Hosue. The downside is that a Dem president gives us communist Supreme Court appointments and socialist executive orders, so you can't win. But having a big-government Republican president with a big-government Republican congress is just giving us big government, with a promise of tax increases in the future. Cunningham is part of the problem, because Big PEntagaon is part of Big Government too, and Cunningham shoveled tax money at defense contractors, and apparently got a lot of favors for himself and his family in return. A creep, but not the only creep in Congress. Not by a mile.
I'll bet the duke has been doing this stuff for 30 years. No one from his neighborhood ever asked questions, and congress sure isn't going to investigate itself.
Nobody wondered where he got a Rolls-Royce? And a yacht?
Cunningham shoveled tax money at defense contractors, and apparently got a lot of favors for himself and his family in return.
Not only that, but he used his influence to reward contractors who couldn't get the work on their own merits.
The MSM loves to tear down an American hero.
True. But Cunningham isn't an American hero. He's a crook.
The difference between pubbies and demonRATS is demonstrated here in this thread. When we catch a rotten pubbie, we want him hung high, no mercy and no excuses. When a demonRAT gets nailed, those RAT bastards circle the wagons, make excuses, whine about how everybody does it. Duke Cunningham was a war hero and at one time a good congress critter. He became greedy and corrupt and betrayed everyone that believed in him. Screw him, send his sorry butt to jail, but I do feel for his family and relatives.
Paging Alcee Hastings...
I'm starting to think that "Gridlock" is what we need again.
Indeed.
Just imagine what could be done to LIMIT government if one of the three branches was neither gop or dnc.
Re#35 Yep. Power trumps all for the left...
So you're a libertarian, or some other kind of third-party person? Maybe you've got a point.
I seriously hope that he gets substantial jail time. I also seriously hope he dies there.
