Actually, an honest review of the situation shows most legal immigrants of Hispanic descent overwhelmingly support making "immigrants" doing it the legal way.

That's right. The amnesty "for Hispanic votes" was invented by the media, perhaps by the corporations and bleeding hearts too. Most Americans who happen to be of Mexican/Hispanic background support a secure border and do not condone alien criminals.

Illegal aliens are maintained by their employers. You come down like a ton of bricks on the employers you will send the illegals home. The employer has to have information readily available on who is here legally and who isn,t. If we can find a cow with mad cow disease in this country we can surely find out where the illegals are. Perhaps we give them each a cow when the sneak in. The computer age is here. This can be done.

You're correct - they do not like them either.

You know, you seem to have a problem with the phrase "living wage" probably because it's associated with libs or minimum wage laws or something.

How about if I say that I am interested in seeing American small business owner being able to earn enough - working oh, say, 60 or 70 hours a week? that tough enough, not "lazy" enough for you? - to pay all the taxes we get, the insurance costs, the overhead on the business, the rising gas prices to get to the job sites, maybe a salary or two to keep a qualified worker, and then still be able to pay the mortgage, keep the lights on, heat the home, keep the phone turned on, and buy food? Maybe even save enough to have a rainy-day fund or a 401K?

And yeah, that's what is meant by a "living wage".

I don't need to get my fair day's pay for a more-than-fair day's work undercut by some folks who don't speak English, don't pay taxes, and live 43 to a house eating beans and rice seven days a week. Maybe you want to have your family live that way to compete on a wage basis with these illegals, but I do not.

Does that make us lazy? Because we want to work hard and have a relatively decent middle-class life? And no, we're not talking even upper quartile here.

That Wal-Mart construction site in eastern Pennsylvania employing 125 illegal immigrants was shut down 10 days ago by the local sheriff because the Pennsylvania workers were losing decent-paying jobs to this phenomenon.

WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK IS WRONG WITH WANTING DECENT PAY FOR WORKING HARD? What makes an illegal immigrant more virtuous for being willing to live in hovels because they take whatever rotten wages the subcontractor is going to pay?

What about the thousands of anchor babies these people will father/bear during the six years -- their ticket to permanent US residence and the right to feed on the public purse forever and ever?

Trial lawyers are indeed one of the reasons health care is so expensive. The biggest reason is that the cost of indigent health care is passed onto the insured. There is no free lunch. Where do you think the "illegal Mexican indigents" go for their health care Dane? I will tell you. Directly to the emergency room (the most expensive medicine there is). Guess who pays when they shrug their damn shoulders when asked? The poor bastards paying inflated premiums on their health insurance because they are paying not only their bill but the bill of that indigent cheap working illegal immigrant.

Huh you mentioned trial lawyers in you first sentence and then dropped them for a tirade about people seeking medical help, and closing your above without naming the true cause of the medical crisis in America(trial lawyers).

Could be you are a trial lawyer and trying to direct the conversation away from the slimeballs, or it could be pure emotional animus towards a foreign language speaking group.

Oh no Dane!!! In my opionion people in this country illegally taking advantage of those legitimately here are as you say "slime balls". I have another term but will not use it here for fear of being banned. You can slip into that one if you want. Indigent medical expense is one of our greatest problems Dane. I do not begrudge these people medical care as long as they get it in "Mexico" or anyother point of illegal immigration origin.

Uh stercy, the slimeballs are the trial lawyers, whom you seem to wish to defend, for pushing up medical expenses.

Hey, I'm willing to stand with Bush, even when I disagree with him, as long as I know he's still on my side. His recent statements prove otherwise. Destroying our culture and language, compromising our security, and depressing wages through open borders isn't what I signed on for when I gave him my vote.

Scroll 2/3 down the page. You will find the September 5 visit of Fox to the U.S. - September 5, 2001

It was that week prior to 9/11 Mr. Bush was announcing measures related to immigration. It was all the talk all the time on talk radio.
