OH MY GOD! He may not have had a physical done on the correct day? I'm sure Pappy Boyington is spinning in his grave over such degenerate behavior from a fighter pilot! If Kerry had done something like this he never would have gotten his picture hung in the Communist Revolutionary Heroes museum in Viet Nam.

The dinosaur media still hasn't figured it out yet that Free Republic is the monster with 200,000 eyes.

The reviews for Mapes have been surprisingly positive (see Kenneth Bunting in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Ed Bark in the Dallas Morning News, and Paul Farhi in the Washington Post)
If these guys want to jump into the boiling pot with Mapes...well, excellent. The more the merrier ;o)

Mapes told Bill O'Reilly she didn't know under what party she was registered to vote.

Buckhead did to Dan Rather what Dan Rather did to Nixon. He turned Dan Rather into what Dan Rather hated most (Richard Nixon). I salute Buckhead.

"Mapes told Bill O'Reilly she didn't know under what party she was registered to vote."
That may not actually be a lie. She may not remember whether she registered as a Communist or Democrat. Of course, if you change the "was" to "is" in her statement you can invoke the Clinton clause and argue about what the definition of "is" is.

Haven't you heard? From Mapes' own lips: It isn't her job as a "journalist" to authenticate sources or verify "information" -- it is the responsibility of critics/readers/viewers to DISPROVE them.
The woman is a shining example of what leftist academia is churning out.

What
Buckhead did literally changed not only the election, but bared once and for all why people have enormous mistrust of the MSM nowadays.
Dan Rather and Mary Mapes weren't the only victims of their cluelessness about the New Media; who could forget how the blogs also brought down Howell Raines and Gerald Boyd at the New York Times and Eason Jordan at CNN? The fact the MSM is acting like a de facto mouthpiece for the Democratic National Committee is the reason why readership in newspapers and newsmagazines have been declining at an accelerating pace.
To: Quilla
Before this book came out, Mapes could say that she was duped and she didn't mean to edit a story that happened to turn out to be a fraud.
With the publishing of her book, now that she knows way more information, Mapes is sticking with her story. This proves beyond a shadow of the doubt that she wasn't merely duped, she was an active participant in the fraud and to this day is trying to foist the fraud on the American people. Her word no longer means anything, her credibility is zilch, and nobody should ever trust her.

So let me get this straight Mary, the documents are authentic but they were planted by Republicans.
I can hardly contain myself.
