I just heard and saw it.
Maybe it is my imagination, but I didnt find a lot of enthusiasm from the audience. I think there were places Jorge thought the audience would applaud but didnt.
I kind of thought it was a bomb. But maybe it is wishful and mean thinking on my part.

I got the same sense you did---the audience heard very little to cheer.
Probably because the President didn't say anything of substance.

Agree. The response did appear luke warm. What do you expect though - The speech is many years overdue and still lacking in any real plan for a remedy.
That pesky 'Guest Worker' plan? Lack of adequate funding for a real fence? etc., etc. Nothing really new here IMO.
