Beware of any organization whose title embraces the word 'justice' or 'peace'.

There are really quite a few others -- but only one type of party is needed --- THE AMERICAN CONSERVATIVE PARTY. Sounds like a good name to me... :-)

Some of the ideas are extreme, including closing all overseas U.S. military bases, severely limiting special-interest dollars in political campaigning and eliminating all foreign aid.
Sounds like a great guy (sarc).

I was somewhat hopeful until I read his positions on the issues.
I think we should encourage him. It would draw votes from the Democrats. I don't think there is much appeal to conservatives.

Right, cannot get enough people to embrace your views, go further marginalize yourself by started a 5th to 6th party. Don't go try to build a coalitions to actually get things done, no throw an angry hissy fit so you can be totally politically irrelevant but can feel really good about your ideological purity.
Completely pathetic.

Dalsey, a former Green and Libertarian candidate for state Assembly...
I don't know how you go from running on the Green to the Libertarian ticket (or vice versa). I agree with nothing the Green party stands for. I don't even meet them halfway. This guy should change the name to the "Whatever I Stand For at the Moment" Party.
To: Diana in Wisconsin
I'm sure he thinks he's the first person ever to try this, and that his party will be much much different than all others....

"'What the hell? Nobody else is doing it.' ""There are dozens of new parties formed all the time.
None of them will succeed until one or both of the current parties are dissolved, fractured, or prosecuted for systemic racketeering....
The successful New Party will be made in large part of elected members of the Rep/Dem parties. Those politicians will switch parties to the New Party thus giving the NP immediate power with a swing vote.

Anyone proclaiming "Justice" should be viewed with a healthy dose of skepticism.
What this man views as Justice may be at odds with the rule of law (quelle surprise) and the Constitution (or what's left of it anyway).
Why repeat what fails?

"Whatever I Stand For at the Moment" Party.
He tried to get that one, but it was already taken by John Kerry. ;)
I want the "Free Chocolate for Life" Party. I could get behind that one. :)

He sounds like a centrist Democrat, which is what alot of Republicans consider themselves to be these days. They would have voted for FDR or JFK but never Bill Clinton, who was considered "centrist" by today's average Democrats because he dared to nod to the Republicans by signing welfare reform into law.
The majority of today's Democrats are too far to the left. Alot of Republicans will come to the center on social issues but remain fiscally conservative. Democrats aren't allowed to do that now. They have to be far left on everything, which is why they always lose.
BTW, no disrespect to the Cheesehead Freepers, but the Republican Party was founded in Exeter, NH by Amos Tuck.
