50 Cent and Kanye West are the only ones selected to be GQ's "Men of the Year" who have no false modesty about it both of the hip-hop stars justify their big egos in the mag's pages. But they also have more on their minds

than just themselves. Like George W. Bush, for one. 50 thinks the president is "incredible ... a gangsta." "I wanna meet George Bush, just shake his hand and tell him how much of me I see in him," 50 told GQ. If the rapper's felony conviction didn't prevent him from voting, 50 said he would have voted for Bush. Meanwhile, Kanye basically called Bush a racist on national television, and has since rethought his strategy for speaking out. "When NBC edited it out on the West Coast, that was a wakeup call," West told the magazine. "It let people know how censored we still are. This is supposed to be America, but you can't get your opinion out. There's all kinds of things I want to say, but I need to pace myself, to make sure my opportunities to say these things aren't taken away too abruptly." Kanye says after giving us entertainment, his next goal is to give us "inspiration." 50's next goal? He wants to market a condom. ...

Fitty is a man who probably sees what hell the Govt social programs have reeked on inner city blacks. He may be a bit out there as far as we know, but the man has paid his dues and is living his dreams the American way and without govt handouts. Good for him, he doesnt need our applause but it should be offered if he is on the up and up.
I'm 40 and everything I listened to,my folks thought was crap.(CCR, Buffallo Springfield, ACDC, The Nuge, etc etc). And their parents thought Elvis was satin.
Sure , I hate rap, but I realize that young folks think its dope.
He brags about how he took over his family's crack selling business at a young age and was so successful with it, he felt the need to impart his wisdom a book. He promotes the lifestyle of gangter ... oh I mean a gangsta, which is a street thug. In the article here he refers to the President as a "gangsta", that is a criminal street thug. But to him , he means it as a compliment. I felt my IQ dropping just reading his words. He is a nightmare of a role model for America's youth.
I am sure you was just joking though when you asked.

Music is music, crap is crap, I know the difference.
50 Cent ...AKA... 2 Bit Shakur?
Hip Hop and Rap are crap - my opinion only. Bad influence for our kids, and God knows there is enough bad influence coming through CDs, DVDs, the TV, and movies. Don't need this genre.
That is distorting the situation. He did sell drugs and he doesn't hide that. He isn't proud about selling drugs per se as you seem to portray but did what he felt he needed to do to survive.
The original NASCAR drivers started out as moonshine bootleggers. Do you hate them too?
No, these days that would be in an art gallery.
So does Cindy Crawford... how sweet
I'm not a fan of his music but have seen interviews with him....he is actually a well-spoken, well thought out and respectful young man....was brought up by his grandparents and speaksing glowingly and respectfully of them...
Kanye "Not only am I gay,I'm also a dork" West
50 "mmmm" Cent
Comparing gangsta rap in any capacity to Elvis, the Beatles, the Who and the Stones is laughable.
That's VERY funny....LOL
Yep, Manson is a Bush supporter, "and not necessarily by default" who loathed Gore.
" The original NASCAR drivers started out as moonshine bootleggers. Do you hate them too?"
Comparing Bootleggers to crack dealers is unfathomably stupid.
I'd pay to see 50 Cent wipe that big ass Carlton Banks grin off Kanye's face.
Who is him?
And who doesn't love Marilyn Manson?
Says you. When they first emerged on the scene, the adults at the time said the Beatles, The Who and the Stones were all crap and could never be compared to Pat Boone or Dean Martin. Do you really think that 50 year old adults really flocked to see Led Zepplin?
