I also rarely watch commercials - I immediately switch to either the Food Network, Comedy Channel or FNC - drives my husband nuts

I suspect its something along the lines of pity. She is the token Lesbian as you mention. Maybe Hollywood feels they should support her as a show of solidarity with gays and lesbians. Who knows. If the woman was straight she wouldn't be working.
As far as Ann H. - remember how many films she was in for awhile? Not so these days.

Oh - speaking of films. I saw " Walk the Line ". An excellent movie. I enjoyed it very much. Apparently, Johnny Cash picked Joachim Phoenix to play the role of Cash.

I was trying to check the beginning to see what I missed... looks like there was no 6:30 show. Too bad. I was able to listen to the first :15 minutes, then got stuck in a meeting til after the second hour started. I'm not a performer but had to hear the "notes" portion of the rehearsal.

That dude with his whining about the XBOX is pathetic.

CNN Xbox'ed Cheney. Don't forget, Oprah's Favorite Things show was last week. Maybe she's to blame for the frenzy.

Yep..performance isn't until mid December, this was just a rehearsal. It's the local ballet company production. It looks great!

Oh, you've only heard it once. Whoops, two times. We've heard it fifty-two times already.

The thing that I remember about "The Day After" most was the way all the cars stopped running. I never did understand why.
