As some have observed, the fighting dog breeds are intelligent and aggressive. They are basically wild animals and their aggressive urges can be triggered in unexpected ways---usually when their owners are not around.

Occasionally someone is just as foolish with fire---for instance when he brings a barbecue grill into the house for heat.

It's the deaths - child deaths - that stir the emotion against pit-bulls. One child dead means foolishly (your word) overlooking statistics and advocating banning private property. Standing on a metal ladder is more dangerous. We don't ban metal ladders. As for fire - you still have the right to cook in your house with out a permit right?
