Any psuedo "sport-hunting", posing poser, tree-standing, duckblinding, inadequate, floundering, hunterering bozo who wants to kill any defenseless beautiful animal like any one of these needs to check and re-check their thinking. God is watching.
We are having deer hunts via bow and arrow in suburban St. Louis right now because the deer population has grown so large that groups of deer are prancing through suburban streets and eating up surburban gardens. In some neighborhoods there are more deer than kids.
Well, that's certainly their prerogative, if they catch us. I do hope they say Grace first, though. And in fact, I hear that vegetarians taste best.
Now you are just humiliating yourself....
I agreee that killing animals for fun or trophy isn't good. But killing for food or as a job is okay.
BTW- There wa a funny Far Side cartoon. A hunter was looking at a calm bear lapping up some water. He shot it and it fell over dead. Then the next frame showed that same bear propped up looking ferocious and about to eat you.
I hunt. Therefore I am.
This is pure flame bait. So, you finally revealed your true colors? What's your screen name at DU so we can see your posts bragging about posting here.
Urged?
Urged by whom? Or what?
Cruelty may also be defined as knowingly and intentionally allowing a herd of animals to suffer. Without proper management, to include humane culling and thinning as needed; a society is commiting cruelty to the animals. Fine if you believe that it is not "sporting" to humanely dispatch an animal. Each state has their own laws regarding the methods and tools that may be utilized. After reading up on your local laws in detail, please return to this thread and cite the exact excerpt that allows or requires cruel harvesting of legal game.
Ahhh....ohhhh...ummmmm...., well "cough, cough" okiedokie now.
Whatever makes your mop flop.
That's not a word. (g)
Do you wear anything that's leather?
Do you eat meat?
Does your car have leather seats?
Do you drink milk?
Shall I go on.....?
I hope God is watching when I hang that big head on the wall of my cabin. I got 5 days left in Iraq and in 10 days I am going to leaning up against a tree waiting for a deer like that one to walk by so I can kill it. Thanks for posting that picture, you really got my adrenaline racing.
You use a duckblind for deer hunting? Man, I got to try that. Congratulations on the deer.
Hey, is it our fault you were born with a handicap? Just adapt, will ya? ;o)
Seriously, while you choose to eat USDA-approved foods, others don't. Some of us consider wild life much healthier than the hormony-treated animals and would rather eat that if possible, regardless of the store right around the corner. You have your standards, we have ours. You just keep eating your processed meat and we'll make good use out of God's provisions the way He intended us to. Sure beats the waste of good meat from being road kill or diseased due to over-population.
So, lets see if we got this right, you don't care if the animal dies a horrible death from drowning on it's own blood after 3 or 4 razor sharp blades pierce its lungs? It's the motive behind the killing that bothers you.
Interesting. The last time I checked this was a conservative site where we discuss core conservative issues about govt., military, religion, etc. I must have missed the part where it said if you are not a bow&arrow shooting, meat loving carnivore with dear (or bear) painted on the sides of your trucks, you are a stinking liberal and cannot post in our fora (plural of forum, for those of you in Rio Linda).
Wasn't that a Dean Martin or was it Frank Sinatra song?
or was it the artist formerly know as an unpronouncible symble?
Hunting - The entire Sam Houston National Forest is designated as a wildlife management area through a cooperative agreement between Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and the U.S. Forest Service. This special designation provides benefits to those who use the Sam Houston National Forest, including hunters, and to the wildlife that live or forage there. Extra fees paid by hunters who use wildlife management areas are collected by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and are returned to the Forest Service for use in those areas. These funds pay for a variety of programs to improve wildlife habitat and other enhancement programs such as wild turkey restoration, creation of wildlife openings and additional law enforcement.
Someones ignorance or agenda is showing. When we scratch a watermelon deep enough to get past the socialist green, the Marxist red always shows through. Frankly wants to federalize all land where game is found, and make it no-hunting.
