OK. 'Tis much better to allow these beautiful creatures to overpopulate and die of disease and starvation, as well. Or re-introduce natural predation in the form of wolves and panther, since automobiles and commercial vehicles are not properly selective in killing and maiming animals.

Cruelty may also be defined as knowingly and intentionally allowing a herd of animals to suffer. Without proper management, to include humane culling and thinning as needed; a society is commiting cruelty to the animals. Fine if you believe that it is not "sporting" to humanely dispatch an animal. Each state has their own laws regarding the methods and tools that may be utilized. After reading up on your local laws in detail, please return to this thread and cite the exact excerpt that allows or requires cruel harvesting of legal game.

Oh 'Tis' the way of things. In my area, 'Tis' the will of the state that most Deer and Bears be killed only by the noble automobile, or to be weakened by malnutrition and disease and then be ripped to shreds by the noble Coyote. I'm going hunting this year in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. (where of course there is hunting allowed) and I'll be hunting for Bear. Hopefully I be causing it less pain than the Semi on Rt 80 would have, but by being a part of the hunt I'll be teaching them to stay away from people, and that will help them as well. Nothing makes a Bear's life shorter than comfort around people.

It's just not possible to believe that your ego is the center of all things (like FranklySpeaking apparently does) and to refrain from evil. Without an objective morality it's impossible to tell the difference between that and good, and if the only thing that matters is your feelings and not the objective facts (again...just like FranklySpeaking) then Evil is exactly what you will get. At the end of the day the self proclaimed noble intentions of people like that will do nothing but harm to the wildlife population.

but I suppose we should know better than to try to change the mind of a liberal. Better not to argue with them at all I suppose, we should just keep them from hurting the rest of us, and encourage them keep their foolishness to themselves. In that way I guess they are kind of like the Bears themselves.

Being a liberal really does seem like some kind of mental disorder sometimes...or should I say 'Tis a kind of madness...verily.'
