Sympathetic Vibrations (Non-partisan poll is bad news for anti-war dems)

Democrats fumed last week at Vice President Cheney's suggestion that criticism of the administration's war policies was itself becoming a hindrance to the war effort. But a new poll indicates most Americans are sympathetic to Cheney's point.
Seventy percent of people surveyed said that criticism of the war by Democratic senators hurts troop morale -- with 44 percent saying morale is hurt "a lot," according to a poll taken by RT Strategies. Even self-identified Democrats agree: 55 percent believe criticism hurts morale, while 21 percent say it helps morale.
The results surely will rankle many Democrats, who argue that it is patriotic and supportive of the troops to call attention to what they believe are deep flaws in President Bush's Iraq strategy. But the survey itself cannot be dismissed as a partisan attack. The RTs in RT Strategies are Thomas Riehle, a Democrat, and Lance Tarrance, a veteran GOP pollster.
Their poll also indicates many Americans are skeptical of Democratic complaints about the war. Just three of 10 adults accept that Democrats are leveling criticism because they believe this will help U.S. efforts in Iraq. A majority believes the motive is really to "gain a partisan political advantage."
This poll is one of the few pieces of supportive news the administration has had lately on Iraq. Most surveys have shown significant majorities believe it was a mistake to go to war, as well as rising sentiment that Bush misled Americans in making the case for it.
Even so, there is still support for Bush's policy going forward. A plurality, 49 percent, believe that troops should come home only when the Iraqi government can provide for its own security, while 16 percent support immediate withdrawal, regardless of the circumstances.
Just Say Noe
Poor Tom Noe. At first, Republican candidates were thrilled...

How about asking the troops? I mean, it *is* about *their* morale, after all.

It's only a matter of time before Sheehan turns the tide, jv. Don't fight it.

It is time for the White House to go full guns blazzing. Look at these kind of polls and run with it. Do not let up.

When the left writes the new book, How to Topple a President, Sheehan's picture will be on the cover.

We should not make the polls as talking points as the desperate liberals do all the times but we must stay on the offensive against liberals and their media.

The Democrat elite Libidiots, namely the Clinton's and Pelosi, attempted to hijack the party agenda when they (without asking anyone else about it) sent the moron coward Murtha out with his surrender proposal.
The plan worked like this... Clinton say "Iraq was a big mistake." Then Murtha was pushed forward with his humiliating defeat resolution that in the political arena the Clinton's would then use to convince the moderate Democrats Iraq was a lost cause. Thereby allowing them to appease their liberal horde and solidify. Meanwhile they Republicans would have the defeat hung around their necks (even though it was engineered by the left) and Hillary would have a shot at the White House in 08.
But the plan failed when the Republicans in a brilliant move forced a vote that exposed the true nature of what was being proposed.
The Clinton's and their LibIdiot goons were caught wrong footed yet again and then Bill Clinton said very grudgingly and bitterly that "Iraq MIGHT still work."
That bring us to this poll. The Democrat party now realizing this treasonous gambit for the huge stinking failure it was are publicly exposed as having no plan or position on Iraq other than defeat. They know that won't win them any elections so they are now going to shift gears and say we can win in Iraq but we NEED the Democrats to do it.
The propaganda arm of the Democrat party, the media, have now been given their marching orders and so we will be seeing more of these polls that are more sympathetic to our goals in the Middle East.
The LibIdiot left of the party will allow themselves to be hoodwinked, because they know their leaders are nothing but liars who will say absolutely anything under the sun just to get elected and it means squat.
Just look at how Kerry said at the Grand Canyon that he would have invaded Iraq even knowing that it (supposedly) had no WMD, and yet they all STILL voted for him!
The Media take these polls every single day. This type of poll that actually shows support for the War on Terror would never have seen the light of day before the 403-3 vote, they simply would never have released it.
This is the first sign that the LibIdiots failed and the Democrat party has changed track. Expect more of these type polls and even encouraging news from Iraq, as the Democrats pull their party in line and make a wild desperate rush through the election campaigns next year to what they hope will be a build a major comeback to power.
Eternal shame on those Democrat LibIdiot louts!

From time to time, Ill ping on noteworthy articles about politics, foreign and military affairs. FReepmail me if you want on or off my list.
The following links seem helpful if you are close to 65 or older, or if older family members need to find out about the new Medicare Part D prescription drug benefit. It's a done deal. Forget about the politics behind it. Your taxes will finance it, and there are monetary penalties for not complying. I see no reason not to save yourself money. Use bugmenot.com, if you must, for any articles. This stuff seems as complicated as doing Form 1040 without an accountant or tax software.
Insurers' Tactics in Marketing Drug Plan Draw Complaints Caveat emptor!
Which Plan? The Answers Are Out There That has an audio-visual link in which the author describes her experience in selecting a plan for her father in a nursing home.
Terry Savage.com Look at the lower right section for Medicare Drug Plans.

Medicare or we're from the government, and we're here to help.
Seriously, this is a public and private venture to get all seniors enrolled in prescription drug coverage. While it may take a little work, about two days according to the second NY Times author, Gina Kolata, it saved about $4,000 per year by using the Medicare program to pick the cheapest.
P.S. I have no relation to any of the aforementioned stories and links. P.P.S. There are only a few drugs where substituting a generic equivalent for a trade name drug should cause concern. Off the top of my head, substituting digoxin for Lanoxin and some thyroid medicine substitutions are the only ones that comes to mind. Any additions or corrections will be appreciated.
