President Condi Rice?
Posted on 11/25/2005 3:36:42 PM PST by oldsalt
Did I hear correctly during the Fox news interview with Condi Rice by Jim Angle?
When he ended the interview I could swear he called her Madame President instead of Madame Secretary.
If not maybe it was wishful thinking on my part.

>>>Condi Rice for president? What qualifies her? The fact that she sucks as a secretary of state?
Sec. of State is 4th in line of succession...and Condi is the first woman so high in line...(remember....Mad-Maddie Albright was constitutionally ineligible to be president...)

For Condi to run, she would have to start just about now in starting a foundation to run with.
I don't see any indications or have read of any and it appears that she is maintaining that she doesn't want anything to do with it, which is probably a good idea.
I don't think she would be able to pull it off at the top of a ticket. She hasn't held an elective office. She hasn't been in any legislature or anything like that.
As a VP, it's possible, but I kinda don't think that will happen either.

She would need to do a successful governorship first; then she would be ready.

Talking about Condi for president is like throwing down the golden apples to slow down the frontrunner as he stops to pick them up. She has never held elective office. The republican party needs to find a viable candidate sooner than later and start up the "ABC" (Anybody But Clinton) campaign...

"I'm sure we can do better than her. I don't particularly like Rudy either, but at least he could win..."Why would you want him to win? Hillary is more conservative than that gun-grabbing abortionist from New York City.

a viable candidate won't emerge until the primaries...
the rest of this is just election babbling to fill the time between now and then....

It will be awhile before a woman gets voted president. I'm afraid it won't be Condi... on the other hand, it certainly won't be HRC..Yep. Sums it up nicely. I'd completely agree.

frankly the only person I see as good for the right is AUHnold. But thats a real hard issue because of that pesky constitutional amendment.
If you want to amend the Constitution, then just get rid of the term limits so we can continue to run George Bush against Bill Clinton for yet another 50 years.

Math could be off, but by 2016 George Prescott Bush will be 40 years old. Pretty young for President. Maybe VP.

She hasn't held an elective office. She hasn't been in any legislature or anything like thatNot only that, she is a University elitist. Can't hang with that crowd for that long and not be a little to the left.

Yea, but what have we seen of him pounding the table for some conservative cause? What do you know about his commitment to limited government and other cornerstones of conservatism?

Romney is about the same as Schwarzenegger and Juliani. That is, fiscal conservative / social liberal to moderate.
No rabid conservative there. But he sure is pretty.

Well, that was your second try and somehow, you still did not get the main point of my post.
Also, you made it clear that you would want somebody who was "popular". I differ. I want somebody who confronts the crucial issues with a no BS, clear, pro-American approach to issues. A candidate that appeals to dummies and morons will never turn this nation around. Even if in defeat, I want a candidate that acts like a leader.
