I'm still here, because i've done nothing to be zotted for. Much to your chagrin no doubt. :o) Oh, you have, but most of us are just having a chuckle over you.

Please describe to me, my offense, you of such
venerated sagaciity and FR "purity"...
my violation of the rules other than unintentionally
ruffling the plumage of the Dashing Dasher
into distemper?
How *did* this "freak boy", so offend this august
(while folicly challanged), self appointed senate?

His comments did not reflect the views of CNN. Ok CNN, now that we've had such a good time watching you squirm regarding this X stuff (which I still believe was really a technical fluke, but enjoyed the hoopla nonetheless) I would like you folks to prove that particular clause in your statement. Thanks in advance.
To: Baby Driver
Sorry, I'm not baited that easily.
Carry on.

How do we fire CNN? Most of us have already done so.

Your post put me in the mind of that scene from the end of
Deliverance, where the hand rises from the water . . . and I have chills now!
(But you gotta admit, Burt was way hot back then.)

SPOILER ALERT if you've never seen Deliverance and plan to!
Hey, I already stipulated that Reynolds was a hottie . . . further, deponent sayeth not! ;)
Seriously, I saw Deliverance in college, and that is the only time in my life I have ever fainted.
It was (of course) the squeal-like-a-pig scene, and I am told that my eyes went up in my head and I slithered out the bottom of the desk and hit the floor like a bag of wet hair.
I woke up with most of my head in the fountain outside the building, and two well-meaning classmates doing their best to drench me. I got up, walked back in, and saw . . . Burt Reynolds' compound fracture, and almost fainted again.

That's a great story. Thanks for sharing.
I don't know why, but I never got around to seeing this movie. I read the book decades ago and don't remember all the details now.

OMG - only see the movie if you're feeling really good about life and yourself and everything. Otherwise, it will depress the holy crap out of you.
On a side note, this is the only movie my mother ever walked out of. She claims she left during the squeal scene, which would mean two generations of us just can't handle bad things being done to Ned Beatty.

Yeah, it's a downer alright. I probably wouldn't like that scene much myself.
