That Thanksgiving when the president made a surprise visit to Baghdad, before it was announced, there was a thread on FR from a soldier/Freeper who we knew was in Iraq and he said he'd just had dinner with a very important person but couldn't tell us for a a half hour.

As it turned out he had to wait until the president cleared air space over Baghdad. This soldier was SO excited that it almost came through the computer screen.

We'll never forget the electricity of that night, will we. Historic, nerve jangling, spine tingling, shock and tears of joy everywhere, and obvious respect and gratitude from the troops.

Unforgettable day, and so great that we were sharing it and getting the tip almost first hand .. it truly was an amazing and historic technological milestone.

Perhaps that photo was taken after the formal dissss-cuss-in'.

My mother phyically is improving and is eating well and seems happy only time will tell what level of mobility she will have from the broken hip. Dad is holding his own and is awaiting a cardioversion for an irregular heart beat.

wow i haven't posted in a while....hope everyone is doing good and has a safe and happy thanksgiving...which is my favorite holiday :)

nothing much happening in my life besides some drama drama drama....one of my so called "best friends" is now going out with my ex, jordan....we've been broken up since october but she still knew i was having a hard time getting over it, not like him.....she and my otehr friend alex where the only ones i really talked to about this and that's how she repays me.
so now i know what i'm thankful for this year, my peer counsouling class. monday i told everyone my story but i didn't say her name at first then somehow it go all to her and i told her everything about how i felt. i even told her that if and when it happens to her, don't expect me to be there for you the way you were there for me.

so yeah, that's my exciting week ! i feel A LOT better that i got to talk about it in peer but i'm still mad and i'll never forgive or forget her and him for it.

One thing I am very thankful for, just in the past 5 years, that we have this man as our President, and Vice President Cheney as vice President!! I am also very thankful for ALL of you here on FR!!
