Getting Out of Iraq
The only remaining question is not how to win the war, but how to end it
By ROBERT DREYFUSS
George Bush is just about the only person in Washington these days who doesn't know that the United States has lost the war in Iraq. "We're never going to back down, we're never going to give in, we'll never accept anything less than total victory," Bush declared in mid-October.
But in the rest of Washington, including the Pentagon, nearly everyone else is thinking about exit strategies. Public support for the war....

Who exactly does Rolling Stone think won?
Is Iraq Communist now?
A terrorist regime?
A bunch of hippies?
Incisive and insightful reporting from the flagship of international political and strategic analysis.
Please post BARF ALERT in the title when you post such completely ignorant, politically bigoted nonsense. This stooge is the usual butt boy Leftist. Clearly knows nothing at all about the topic but is so blindly arrogant and ignorant that he assumes screaming his emotional opinions will some how change reality to suit his demented illusions. Iraq is an overwhelming success as anyone with a military or international political background can tell you. Sorry reality does NOT conform to the Hate America Always Dogma of the blindingly stupid Hysteric Left. The measure of the success the West has had in Iraq is made crystal clear by the fact that the political dogma this loser proclaims was defeated 401-3 in the US House of Representatives Friday night. That's right. Not even the political idols of this Dying Media culture know as "Rolling Stone" were willing to vote for this Authors insipid strategy.
Just a couple of weeks ago, in fact, he was lamenting that Scooter Libby was indicted only for lying to a grand jury.
He believes Libby should be facing war crimes because he is personally responsible for tens of thousands of Iraqis buried in new mass graves by American-allied death squads. In the immortal words of Felix Unger, "Murray, I don't have time to unravel your logic."
He types absurd things, then reads them and believes them, because he saw them in print.
Oh for Chriss*kes.
Nuts.
Please excuse me if I do not click the link to more of this drivel.
Their very political survival hinges on our defeat in this war. If we win and Iraq becomes a respectable democracy, they look like fools and they wouldn't be able to elect so much as a liberal dogcather in the future.
See Kiddies, Drugs DO fry your brain to the point of total uselessness.
Yea man, pass me the bong.
One can almost see the clouds of smoke billowing around the Cheech and Chong crowd over at Rolling Stone.
There was a time - in my younger, stupider days - when I relied on my world news from Rolling Stone and MTV. And I was more than happy to accept it as gospel.
Now I'm older, educated, and experienced. And I know that to say that Rolling Stone knows jack sh*t about world politics is giving Rolling Stone WAY too much credit.
Barf warning is missing.
Anyway, the Domestic Enemy Press really is in
full-court-press on this issue. They, and their
DNC pals stand to lose big as gains are made in
the global war on the Cutthroat Cult.

There is no "Iraq war". That ended when organized
resistance by Saddam's army ceased. What we have
now is the Iraq theatre of the WOT. If we boogie
from Iraq, we'll just have to fight the same perps
somewhere else ...
... plus we'll lose those nice bases for dealing
with Iran, Syria, etc.
This !#$%^&ad dreyfuss can shove and leave our guys alone. He is only a COMMUNIST.
We are kind of stuck. If we stay, it will sap our military resources and screw with American morale and if we leave, then the terrorists in a round about way win.
While no war is easy and all carry a heavy cost, I think the average American thought we would go in ala Desert Storm and be out in 3-4 months. Our military toys can topple a nation, but can't defeat a terrorist enemy. Even hate to say it, but we had the same problem with the guerrilla war in Viet Nam
Where is the "Extreme Barf Alert"?

The Crying Game So near in Iraq, so far at home.
"The president misled us." "Still no WMDs." "If I had only known then what I do now
"
This is the intellectual level of Democratic wartime criticism about the Bush administration as we near the third Iraqi election the one that will finally give faces to the first truly elected parliamentary government in the Arab world.

The only "issue" the hard left has to screech about. Will collapse as the others have.
