Heard this on the radio as I was driving to work this morning - was shocked that it was pulled here in Madison! (Havana North)
So what time should we come over for coffee?!
All ten of them should be fired.
This just proves how little concern parents who send their kids to government schools have for the kids.Only 1 parent out of ninety even realized what was going on and she was a grandmother.
Thank you for that broad brush.
If the shoe fits wear it.
Oh, it doesn't fit. But comments like yours generate a lot of animosity toward home-schoolers. Personally, I admire most of those who homeschool their children, especially the ones that don't disparage everyone who "sends their children to government schools" every time the subject of education is brought up. But invariably, someone will chime in with the "sending children to public school is a form of child abuse" line. That will bring out the anti-homeschooling crowd and they will use the home-schooled teenager who murdered the parents of his home-schooled girlfriend as a broad brush to ridicule all homeschoolers. Pretty soon, you get a flame war and nobody even remembers the original topic of the thread.
I realized the honor we give teachers is strictly ceremonial when as a high school senior our AP physics teacher solicited us to apply for the openings to teach GED classes that summer.
Unfortunately, the vast majority of parents could care less in any fundamentally true sense.
Ping
'Scuse me - you got sumpin against reg'lar ol' punkin pie?
Seriously, good luck with that. Sounds delicious.
Have we got a list of email addresses for the School Board, Superintendent and Principal?
Susan Abplanalp, assistant superintendent for elementary and secondary schools, said she does not believe the teachers involved viewed the assignment as a political activity.
"They really looked at this as a peace project," Abplanalp said. "I don't think that the intent was to make this a political statement."
So the non-political project centered around writing position letters to politicians? Not very convincing Ms. Abplanalp... if that really is your name.
Looks more like an aborted palindrome.
Right.
And our presence in Iraq encourages more terrorism...
That school is a quagmire. Send the teachers home.
Nope. But I volunteered to make enough for the 30 of us, so I get to choose. Neener-Neener! LOL!
I had it at Cheesecake Factory @ Mayfair Mall (you know where that is!) last week, and worked all week on perfecting the recipe. It's going to knock to socks off of everyone...traditionalists included! :)
