This is ridiculous.
Report: Eagles WR Owens suspension to be reduced
November 23, 2005 NEW YORK (Ticker) - Terrell Owens may get his wish after all.
According to a report in Newsday, arbitrator Richard Bloch is expected to reduce Owens' four-game suspension from four games to one or two games later Wednesday.
Owens was suspended four games by Reid for conduct detrimental to the team November 9. The NFL Players Association is seeking to have the suspension reduced and wants the Eagles to cut Owens if they have no intention of playing him again.
The report indicates that the Eagles, who planned to de-activate Owens for the remainder of the season, will release the mercurial superstar receiver instead. Philadelphia is concerned that Owens will cause a distraction if the ruling allows him to return to the Eagles' practice facility.
Owens has stated all along that he wants to return to the Eagles, but would want to be released if Philadelphia didn't plan to play him. If released, Owens would go through the league's waiver system, with the worst team getting the first shot of claiming him.
Owens is making a base salary of $3.75 million this season.

Favre to Owens?
No the Jets
I don't know. He lives in Atlanta. He's a good fit for Vick.
I sure hope the Texans don't pick him up.
I was thinking the same thing. TO might get his wish to be a receiver for Favre, but going to a team with a 2-6 record will certainly be just desserts for this troublemaker.
"The report indicates that the Eagles, who planned to de-activate Owens for the remainder of the season, will release the mercurial superstar receiver instead." Good riddance to TO
The Jets should sign him to play quarterback.
He and Favre may actually get along, IMHO.
Brett, will probably be retiring soon, so, he has no Ego to bruise (Since he's been there don that) thus allowing TO to be the "Super Ego" on the team...everyone would humor him, etc.
The Pats turned around when Belichik benched a prima donna. Was it Terry Glenn?
New Orleans Saints already have a big black hole..........
Would be a battle of the Egos there, though.
I wonder what the salary implications of this decision might be. Surely enough for Owens to feed his family for a while longer.
Whoever picks him up I hope they have a dismal season.
And Im glad he isnt coming to Dallas.
I sure hope the Texans don't pick him up."
I hope NO TEAM picks him up. If the Eagles are required to take him off suspension, I hope they make him sit on the bench and freeze his brass ones for the rest of his life. As for being disruptive in practice, put him at the other end of the field or keep him on the bench there.
Too many kids idolize these creeps. Time to get a message that the kids will understand.
Just keep him as far away from Dallas as possible.
He'll join Da Raidaz. It's destiny. :)
I wonder if Belichek could convert him into a defensive back?
Poor Terry, she missed out on three Rings.....
Brett, will probably be retiring soon, so, he has no Ego to bruise (Since he's been there don that) thus allowing TO to be the "Super Ego" on the team...everyone would humor him, etc. "'
I do not see the town of Green Bay and the fans humoring him.
They don't like that kind of behavior that TO exhibits.
My guess is Owens is Denver-bound. Their coach reportedly is confident in his ability to work with trouble players.
