Thank you, Valin! I went and found a nice copy of Lincoln's Proclamation and a copy of it is going on everyone's plate at our Thanksgiving Dinner tomorrow.

Great article. Thanksgiving is about giving thanks to our Lord. We are not required to give thanks to pagan deities or to the nothing worshiped by atheists in order to be tolerant and diverse and multicultural.
The constitution protects the freedom of the American people to worship God Almighty. It does not require us to be neutral about religion nor to have any secular purpose when endorsing free religious expression.
We should thank God for giving us our lives and our rights and our freedom, just as our Founders did.
